RUSSIA TRIP 2001!
Between 20th and 27th October 2001, I was one of 17 Hautlieu school History and Art students from years 12 and 13 that visited Russia. We stayed firstly in Moscow for 3 nights before catching the overnight train to  St. Petersburg, where we stayed for another 3 nights.

For me, it was definintly the best school trip I have been on. We saw the most amazing sights, including Red Square, the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral and the Winter Palace. We were also lucky enough to see some of the most famous pieces of art in the world at the Hermitage Museum. There were works by artists such as Van Gogh, da Vinci, Picasso, Monet, Rembrandt, Raphael and Michaelangelo.

Here some of my pictures, sorry some of them are not the best quality, it's what you get if your mum buys you a couple of cheap cameras I suppose. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did! :-)
Laura and Gemma - On the coach in St. Petersburg, but notice Mr. May lurking in the background.
Eternal Flame - A very cold and glum looking group of people outside the walls of the Kremlin
Palace Square - Mel, Laura and Gemma huddling in Palace Square outside the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg
Graeme - Graeme secretly attempts to mount the founder of St. Petersburg and Tsar of Russia, Peter "The Great", whilst nobody is looking.
Group - In front of the Winter Palace. I can only apologise on behalf of the teachers for this photograph. Sorry. But has anyone noticed the tiny little elf in the background??? Bizarre
Me and Laura - In Cathedral Square within the walls of the Kremlin
Gay lovers - Ben and Pat announce their engagement inside the walls of the Kremlin
Laura - Being hoisted up by myself and Ben in the St. Petersburg hotel. Notice the variation of the 'McLenin's' t-shirt
Mel - A lone figure in the vast expanse of Red Square
Moscow - The view from the window of my Moscow bedroom. It was the only day we had such a clear view of the city
Little Richard and Emma - On the British European flight back to Jersey. I had a couple of photos left on my camera...
Graeme and Mel - Same again here. At least it's a half decent picture of Graeme though
Laura, Lauren and Pat - Possibly the widest grin in the history of grinning
Group - After the pool night wearing our McLenin's t-shirts (apart from a few spoil-sports)
Champions - Mr Anderson and Vanessa after their triumphant pool escapades (we were robbed I tell you)
Me and Kirsty - My pool queen :) All it took to make Kirsty a world-beater at pool was to let her play alongside me
Me and Gemma - Unfortumatly I don't do miracles. But we still came runners-up in the tournament
Ben, Laura and Me - In front of St. Basil's Cathedral in Red Square
Richard, Pat and Graeme - Looking fiendishly cold in 'Red'
Group - In 'Red' with some youthful Russian guards
Ben and Happy - She seems to have the same effect on everyone
Boys - Nice and cramped up in our train cabin. A journey not to be forgotten
Graeme, Little Richard and Ben - On the train in the 'corridor' thingy
Group - In one of the train compartments. They treated us like cattle, it was 8 to a cabin
The one that got away - Just imagine....
