Chapter 7
"Now doctor would you like to explain what just happened out there?"
Janeway asked, while pointing to the door. The doctor looked less
then comfortable.
"It's a personal matter that you should take up with Lt. Torres."
That thought stopped him. "Capt. just where did you send the Lt.?"
"When I found them in the hallway, going at each other, I sent them
to Torres's quarters. Why?" Janeway wondered why the doctor looked
worried.
"Did you say `them'? Maybe you should tell me what took place and
with whom."
The doctor listened while Janeway explained to him exactly what she
had seen. He was smiling by the time she had finished.
"Why are you smiling? I thought there was a problem?" The Capt. asked
him.
At that the doctor smiled even bigger. "On the contrary, I think
everything will be just fine now. If I am correct, then the Lt. will
be better then fine."
Now Janeway was even more confused. Then she remembered that Vorik
was confined to quarters until his Pon Far has passed. If he was
going through it again, then Torres would be to.
Then everything she had seen made sense now. Concerned for Seven's
safety she asked, "Is Seven safe?"
The doctor smiled. "By what you just told me, I would say she is more
then safe. I was wondering if maybe that was why they always fought."
A tear fell from Janeway's eye. "My little girl is all grown up." The
doctor walked over and pulled her into a hug.
"Shh, it's ok. We knew this day would come." He tried to reassure
her. He held her until she had calmed, then she turned worried eyes
to him.
"What do I do now?" She asked. The doctor sighed and shrugged his
shoulders.

Chapter 8
After his shift, Tom Paris decided to stop by B'Elanna's quarters.
The way he saw it, she would need him now. Since Vorik was going
through the Pon Far again, Lanna would be to.
He saw this as his chance to win her back. He never thought that she
wouldn't want anything to do with him. He didn't even wonder about
all the strange looks he was getting.
So when he stepped off the turbo lift to hear a roar that sounded a
lot like `Seven', he had no idea what to expect. But the next sound
he heard clicked his brain into gear. His blood drained from his face
and he hit the floor with a soft `thud'.
The howl of the half Klingon could be heard at least three decks
away.
***
In Janeways quarters, quiet sob's stopped when she heard the
howl. "Take good care of my little girl." She says to no one. Then
decides maybe she should speak with Seven and B'Elanna, just to be
sure of B'Elanna's intentions towards Seven. Chuckling humorlessly,
she thinks about the howl.
Maybe this wasn't so bad after all, since she felt like a second
mother to B'Elanna. She knew her intentions would be honorable.
Another howl broke her thoughts. `Maybe I should order them to
install more sound proofing.' She thought as the howling
stopped. `Maybe some ear plugs to.'
***
Tom Paris woke up wondering how he had ended up on the floor. Then a
howl reminded him of how. He groaned and get shakily to his feet.
Before he could reach B'Elanna's door the doctors voice stopped
him. "Mr. Paris, please report to sick bay."
Turning from the door, he swore that he would win her back. If it was
the last thing he did. Storming off he started making plans to win
Torres back.

Chapter 9
In side the quarters of Lt. B'Elanna Torres, the only sound heard was
panting and gulping to catch one's breath.
Torres had slowly worked them closer and closer to the bed. When they
finally did make it there, the blood fever had lessened to the point
where B'Elanna didn't feel like she would burst into flames at any
second.
Seven had been hesitant at first, but after her first climax, she
wanted more. B'Elanna was more then willing to `comply'.
Now they lay in a tangle of arms and legs, trying to breath. "I
believe .... that I ..... was ......
mistaken..." Seven could not finish her thought as a warm hand made
it's way up her body to cup a breast.
B'Elanna smiled evilly. "What we're you mistaken about Be'nal?" She
loved the way Seven's body reacted to her touch.
"Feelings are not irrelevant." Seven stated breathlessly. She still
couldn't move, but the feel of Lana pressing her into the bed, made
her not want to. Looking at the half Klingon she asked shyly, "You do
not regret what we have done? Do you?"
B'Elanna lifted her head and looked Seven straight in the eye. "I
could NEVER regret loving you. You are the best thing to happen to me
in a VERY long time." Taking Sevens face in her hands, B'Elanna
gently touched the bite mark on Sevens cheek.
Seven lifted her hand to the matching bite mark on B'Elanna's
cheek. "I love you Seven. You are all I could have ever asked for and
more." Seven pulled B'Elanna back on top of her, not liking the
feelings of loss it caused.
"I love you as well B'Elanna Torres, and I am going to show you just
how much right now." Seven rolled them over and pinned a happily
growling half Klingon down. The smile on B'Elanna's face got even
bigger as Seven worked her way down.

Tom walked into sick bay with a firm plan for winning Lanna
back. "What did you need Doc.?" He asked impatiently.
"I need you to go check up on Vorik. He says the injection is warring
off." The doctor handed Paris the instruments he would need.
Tom listened and nodded. "After that do you want me to check on
B'Elanna also?" He was hopping for any excuse to get in side her
quarters.
The doctor looked at him and raised one of his brows. "Why on Earth
would I want that. I think the Lt. will be just fine." He turned to
his desk. "All of her readings are within normal ranges. " He watched
Paris's face fall. `Maybe I had better have a talk with Torres about
him, before Seven helps him to `see the light'.The doctor snickered. `Maybe that
would be a better idea. Nah, we
still need him.'
"Once you are through with Vorik I need you back here for more
training."
If it was possible, Tom Paris's face fell even further. "Ok Doc. Take
care of Vorik, then back here. Got'cha."
Tom walked to the lift trying to find another way in. He wasn't about
to let some `Borg' steal his woman.

Janeway was sitting in her Ready room, trying not to think about
Seven or B'Elanna. She had read the same sentence twice and still had
no idea what it said. So when she heard the doctor hail her, she was
relieved.
"EMH to the Caption."
Janeway tapped her comm badge. "Janeway, go ahead Doctor."
"Might I speak with you Caption? Privately."
That got a raised brow. "Here or there Doctor?"
As an answer the doctor materialized in front of her. He looked
almost nervous.
"What can I do for you Doctor?" She asked. He walked over and sat
down.
"I wanted to speak to you about Mr. Paris. It seems he is trying to
find a way in to see Lt. Torres." At the Capt.'s worried look he
hastened to reassure her. "No, not physically. At least not yet any
way... He requested if I wanted him to check up on Torres as well as
Vorik. I just wanted to make you aware of his intentions."
Janeway nodded. "We'll wait and see. I want to believe that Tom will
finally realize that B'Elanna doesn't want him." She remained silent
for a moment, then. "Doctor, how much training..." She started, but
he cut her off.
"I have already thought of that. Once he's finished
with Vorik, I'm sending him to the holodeck for more training."
Janeway nodded. "I'll see what else we can have him training on, or
maybe training some of the less experienced pilot's. He could run a
simulation to see who would make a good back up pilot."
They both shook their heads, hoping everything worked out and no one
ended up hurting. But knowing that, that would be a miracle.

Chapter 10
On his way back to sick bay, Tom Paris decided that a short side trip
wouldn't hurt anything.
He stepped off the lift and walked to B'Elanna's door. It was quiet,
so he asked for the location of Lt. Torres and Seven of Nine. The
computer informed him that they we're both still in side Torres's
quarters.
Screwing up his courage he rang the admittance chime, and stepped
back. He stood there for sometime, wondering if the computer was
wrong. He rang it again.
The door opened to reveal a very pissed off half Klingon in only a
sheet.
"What do you want helmboy? I'm busy right now." She stepped out the
door and let it close. She had no intention of letting him see
Seven. `MINE' roared her Klingon side.
Tom looked her up and down. When he returned to her face he was
pinned with a death stare. "I stopped by to check up on you. Make
sure you arn't having any bad reactions to the injections." He was
grasping at straws now.
Torres rolled her eyes, thinking `what did I ever see in this guy?'
All she saw now was someone keeping her from being with her wife.
That thought made her smile.
Tom mistook that smile to mean he still had a chance and reached out
for B'Elanna, so he never expected to find himself, again face down
in the hallway. The last thing he saw was B'Elanna walking back into
her quarters. Then his world went dark.
***
Crawling back into bed, B'Elanna couldn't help but smile. How is it
that the one person in the universe that she thought was her enemy,
could be the same person to complete her.
Seven opened her eyes. "What was that all about?" She asked while
running her hands over B'Elanna's skin.
Lana for her part was trying to remember who had been at the door,
knowing that `someone' had been there. Feeling Seven's hands slide
down her body B'Elanna shivered.
"It wasn't important. I don't even remember who it was." Seven was
driving her closer and closer to the edge, and that was all she could
think about.
Seven smiled smugly. "I believe you are holding out on me." Her hands
stopped all movement. A groan was her answer. "Who was at the door?"
B'Elanna thought about who `had' been at the door. Then she frowned,
remembering who was there and why. "It was Paris. He said he was
stopping by to see how I was doing. He went to grab me, so I belted
him. End of discussion." She tried to pull Seven closer.
Seven pulled back, wondering if B'Elanna was going to take Paris
back. Seeing the worried look in Seven's eye, she asked.
"What's wrong Bangwi?" B'Elanna took Seven's face in her hands.
Seven tried to look away, but B'Elanna wouldn't let her. "Do you want
him back?" She asked in a whisper. A single tear fell from her human
eye, to be caught by B'Elanna.
"Oh love. You are all that I could ever want or need. My heats beat
only for you. I would surely die without you by my side." B'Elanna
softly kissed Seven. "What ever I had with him was over long ago,
almost before it began. Don't ever doubt our love."
Seven was smiling when B'Elanna finished. She still couldn't believe
that Lana wanted her, but she was happy that she did.
