| Although Quest 40,000 now has a large fan base, it has not developed overnight - the current cult status of the show is the result of four years of work. - the Creator, Mark Hammond was 15 and beginning his final year of School. - its name was originally 'Mystic Quest 40,000' but the 'mystic' part was later dropped to make the name shorter and snappier. - Commander Moe was originally called 'Moe the Space Marine Hero' but I thought that was a completely pants name! There were originally only Moe and Loy fighting 'Naf the Lictor' (who was later demoted to just being in 2 episodes) to save the Emperor's daughter. it was a simple storyline - but it laid the basework for all that came later. Around Christmas 1996, The idea to create a whole series began to come together - the idea being to leave the series on a cliffhanger and create a second series later on. - this is exactly what happened. The second series began to take shape in mid 1997 - just after Mark Left school. in the second series Moe becomes an outlaw and has to flee the Imperium. - for a long time the second series occupied all the time available (the second series was also origianlly meant to be the last and Moe was going to be killed off at the end of it - glad I changed that!- it wasn't until some time in 1998 that HTV began to think about making a third series... |

| Quest 40,000 series 3 took some time to design but it is - i believe - the best one to date. after series 3 was ready (this is now late 98, early 99) the fourth followed logically. the fourth still has not been fully designed - but the fifth is already at the planning stage - a sixth is surely inevitable. The mini serieses have come at a slow but steady pace. Q40k World Confederacy, World War 3, Age of Strife and Horus Heresy have all been planned and each runs for 5 episodes - Q40k - The Sex mad time hopping Space Marine is almost finished and runs for 9 - Quest 40,000 Nemesis is the newest and will run for 6 (it's also really, really COOL!) Some time in the future, we see Quest 40,000 - the great devourer - the story of how the Tyranids destroyed the Legion of vengeance's first homeworld, Sokar and how the were stopped in the battle of Macragge... (a bit of blatent ripping off of GW's own stories there :) ) Quest 40,000's future looks bright - with a large cult following and new animation methods which will soon allow 3D rendering to be used - Quest 40,000 must surely go from strength to strength - HTV's Flagship project for the new millennium - and a worthy successor to the immensely succesful Hutchi and Stacey Show. |
