The Main Character, Moe is 21 years old and the Leader of the 3rd Company of the Legion of Vengeance. 5 years ago, he saw his father killed by the Tyranid race, on whom he swore revenge. A Womaniser since a young age, Moe maintains a casual relationship with a young Battle Sisters Commander called Alyssa who has been his girlfriend since the two were in school together. This is much to the annoyance of many in the imperium's ruling echelons who feel such relationships between members of the military should be banned.
Moe's ship, the Great Moe is the most powerful vessel in space, recovered from the warp, it is a relic from a more advanced age, and during the second series, is the only thing that keeps Moe one step ahead of his pursuers.
Moe's best friend since the two were at School in Middlesbrough together. Smudge is a fiercely loyal Space Marine who has a very 'get the job done' approach to any situation. He is now Moe's second in command and the Commander's most valued associate, Moe would trust Smudge with his life. (and often does) When Moe was accused of heresy in series 2, Smudge was the first to side with him, and it is unclear which is stronger - his loyalty to the Imperium or his loyalty to Moe.
Smudge is also a skilled Weapons Technician and brutal hand to hand fighter.
Because Hutchi was not born on Nehekara or grown from LOV geneseed, he does not suffer from the Nehekaran Alcohol addiction. He spent most of his early life on Mars, training under the Techpriests. He is Nehekara's top Techmarine, and is the only man to have successfully duplicated Terminator Armour, which he uses in particularly fierce battles.
Hutchi is responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment used by Third company, including the ancient starship, Great Moe. The Legion's weaponry is generally very old and in need of replacement and as such, this keeps him quite busy...
Loy was taken from his home at the age of four, because he posessed Potent Psychic powers. He was posted on Nehekara after the Soulbinding and his training, and met Moe while the Commander was a trainee. Loy has developed several terrifying Psychic Powers, including the Ability to transform an enemy into a marshmallow!
The Current Chapter Lord of the LoV. Caiaphas had the unenviable task of rebuilding the Chapter after the Disastrous Reign of Von Drax. At the Age of 267, he's about middle aged for a Space Marine, and has been in Charge of the Chapter for the last 230 Years.
Caiaphas is dead serious about his job, and will only relax slightly, even when things are quiet. He usually fulfills his need for Alcohol by a direct injection to the vein.
Although he is usually happy to direct operations from Nehekara, he will don his Terminator Artificer Armour in times of trouble and give any opponant what for.
Commander Moe's long suffering Girlfriend and a Commander in the Adepta Sororitas Order, the Snow Maidens, Alyssa is feared. (often by her enemies on the Battlefield)
At the age of 16, she joined up, leaving Moe in their hometown of Middlebrough. five years later, they met up again. relationships between Space Marines and Sisters of Battle (particularly casual relationships like Moe & Alyssa's)are strictly forbidden, But Careem won't say anything as she's going out with Brother Hutchi and Caiaphas has known and accepted the situation from the beginning anyway.
Just before the Horus Heresy, the Emperor's girlfriend became pregnant. Unfortunately, she died during the birth due to a freak complication. The Emperor's 10,000 - year old Daughter (who despite having seen in the new Millennium 10 times, only appears to be in her early twenties) is the most powerful Psycher in the Imperuim, this was largely inherited from her Father. some conspiracy Nuts believe he may have made modifications the the unborn Phoetus, to boost the girl's psychic abilities. She is little more than a figurehead, and lets the High Lords of Terra run the Imperium for her, but has the final say in anything important. She met Moe by accident one day, before he became a Space Marine and they have stayed in contact ever since.
Micron is the Main bad guy of season 2. he enters early in this series and immediately seduces the Emperor's daughter. Convenently for Micron, Moe is, at this time, accused of Heresy and he has a free licence to hunt him...
Micron is power mad, once a Human but not any more, he keeps his face hidden at all times behind a strange and Ornate Helmet, which bears the symbol of His patron God, Khorne.
Appearing in the mid-third series, Marilyn was created by Slaanesh to find and Kill Commander Moe. Though having an outgoing appearance of a beautiful young woman, Marilyn is not Human and will stop at nothing to complete the task set her. Initially loyal to Slaanesh, Marilyn later defects to Khorne, while continuing her persicution of Moe and his friends.
Johllus fisrt appeared in the Early first series, where we find him attacking the imperial planet, Shankar. toward the end of series 1, Moe pursues Johllus into the underhive on Planet Necromunda, and in series 3, Johllus becomes involved with Moe's Girlfriend, Alyssa which culminates in Alyssa ending up in a coma (and Moe becoming very very angry) Moe and Johllus finally clash in the mid third series.
Moe doesn't like Mallakai, and who would? he is a high Lord of Terra, and part of the Imperium's ruling body. Quiet and secretive, Moe believes Mallakai has a secret agenda outside the Emperor's service. but as one of the chosen twelve, he is absolutely untouchable. It was Mallakai who found the Emperor's daughter after she went missing and chose Moe to find her, Mallakai was also the one who authorised Moe's Space Marine Father to have a son, as part of an imperial experiment to breed a Space Marine of unprecedented power and skill, it is because the high lord engineered him in this way that Moe will never trust Mallakai.
