Fantasy Sketches

I've had a few questions about what sort of materials I use when do art, so here are some explanations of the media used in my pieces, as well as some suggestions on brands.

Most of my recent pieces have been sketched in pencil on paper and then inked in with pens, which I color on the computer after scanning the image in. I prefer to use this technique for images that don't require intensely rendered shading, such as works that are more cartoony, or involve a lot of large color fields. For pieces that do have more detailed tone and value, I like to work the entire thing by hand, whether it be through dry of wet media. Within each type, I prefer colored pencils (specifically Prismacolor brand), and watercolor.

Here's a few examples of different types of media:

Bueller - ink and watercolor
Hylsiriyu - ink and CG color
Merboy - oil paint
Self portrait - Prismacolor pencils
Johgo/Selequel - ink and pencils

If there's more you'd like to know, I invite you to send me an e-mail.
