Bright and boisterous, upon first encounter Debbie Novotny ain't an easy pill to swallow. But once you get to know her a little better, understanding the full time mom to Micheal (and now Justin) and part time PFLAG booster gets a whole lot easier.
Not many parents are as accepting as the angelic, wig-wearing waitress, but cross her then look out. That said, Debbie's bark is much bigger than her bite, and she's a born councellor. Offering guidance to any of the gang at the drop of a hat (even when it's not asked for), she has a lot of experience to draw from. Her HIV positive brother, Vic, is only alive because of a new drug cocktail, and she's had to raise her gay son as a single mom. If only all moms were this nice!! |
