Choices

With all the buzz and excitement of upcoming graduation also comes the unavoidable question, "What are you going to do now?" which is pitched to you by friends, family, teachers, and just about everyone you meet on the street. But with the thought of freedom and opportunity also comes the nagging reminder that you still have no future plans. So, what exactly do you do after high school? Find a job? Go to college? Freeload off of your parents? While the same choice may bot be right for everyone college has many advantages, some of which you can get no where else.

By attending college a person can gain world knowledge they might not be able to get outside a campus. Possibly due to the inexperience of the student, lack on knowledge or inability to work outside a classroom setting. A college graduate stands a better change at being hired when opposed by a high school graduate. College graduates are more likely to be promoted faster than someone who hasn't graduated with a higher education.

While the riggers and trials of college take a student into a world all its own, mostly composed of term papers, thesis statements, and math with letters, there is no doubt college students are at a greater advantage in the real world. A college graduate is 5 times more likely to make more money than a person of a parallel position who has not graduated college.

There also many smaller reasons to go to college after high school, such as social gatherings colleges often have: parties, concerts or 'movie nite'. While these shouldn't be the sole reason one would attend college, it poses as a nice perk.

College is in a world of its own with its individual language and mannerism and within this world lies benefits and pleasures which you can only get along side a college education.

Author's Note: I really dislike this paper. While it starts off strong, it falls apart towards the middle, and just withers and dies at the end.
