KEYS TO HAPPINESSThe key to happiness, to a large extent, is having a sense of control over what's going on in your life. The more you feel that you're in control, the happier you will be.Psychologists have established that a sense of control forms the basis for a POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE, arguably the single most critical factor that determines success. You will feel the greatest sense of happiness, moreover, when you are moving methodically toward the accomplishment of clearly defined goals that you believe will enhance the quality of your life. Thus, the importance of goals and goal-setting.
THINKING BIG BY THINKING BACKWARDSImagine what your life would be like, in all respects, if everything were as you wanted it to be. Then ask yourself what steps you would have to take in order to arrive at the result. As former ITT Chairman Harold Geneen said, "Start with the goal and work back." Then allow yourself to EXPERIENCE THE FEELING that you would have if all your goals were already achieved. Act as if failure were impossible and your success were inevitable. Use every psychological technique you know of to hold the image of your positive vision in your conscious mind. Feel yourself "living into" that vision, as your dreams gradually become reality. Thus it has been observed that, "Your imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions!"

Your feelings and your thoughts determine your actions. Your actions, in turn, ultimately determine the results you obtain and your success in life.
