Queen's Park 1 East Fife 2
Main Page It may not have been exactly nailbiting stuff, but at least Queen's gave us some hope and allowed us to get excited about the final minutes of the game. But you never felt that they would actually equalise -  and they didn't.
The plus points to be taken from the game by Kenny Brannigan will be the performance of David McCallum, who was often looking to control the game in the middle of the park however much he lacked support ( and he hit a cracking goal to boot ), as well as James Allan's ability and a better showing from Danny Ferry. But there are several players, including John Gemmell, that the manager will be keen to extract greater effort and involvement from, and of course defensively there is still much to work on. The team as a whole should certainly not be short of motivation when they take on Morton next Saturday, for various reasons. But they will also have to improve the quality of their football.
