| As so often in the past, Frankie Carroll salvaged a result for Queen's against an East Fife side who had been better than us for most of the second half. Queen's hardly achieved any reasonable shots at goal during the game, save for a fine David Weatherston strike when we were already trailing. We didn't look comfortable at all during the match and seemed certain to lose when Kevin McBride, making his debut, curled a free-kick into the corner of an uncertain Crawford's net. However, Carroll, who had shown no great signs of doing anything since coming on as a sub, managed to get his head to a high ball in the area to send it rolling over the line. Queen's were safe- but it remains to be seen whether this will work out as a good result or not. We actually slipped back to 5th place, but kept in touch with East Fife who are still only 2 points ahead of us. Berwick lost at Elgin; they remain clear in front but the league is getting tighter every week.
