OH HAMPDEN IN THE SUN
Charlie Nicholas and Davie Provan, banned for crimes against the fashion industry... I mean, speaking their minds...
Another week, another reason to dislike Berti Vogts for some. The Scotland manager has spoken out against comments made by Sky Television football pundits Davie Provan and Charlie Nicholas. The German accused the pair of being too "negative" in their post-match remarks. Personally I would have banned both for being ugly, but there you go. Of course, this has been met with uproar all over the country as many Scots clamour to find another reason to hate the man. In defence of Provan and Nicholas, they have the unenviable task of speaking their minds after every shambolic national performance and, let's be honest, many of us feel exactly the same way. Vogts's remarks may be seen as valiant attempt to save the confidence of his players, but in reality the man is trying to hide from the truth.

Note : I'm writing this before the Germany game.

But I feel that Vogts should be extra negative in his tactics against Germany today and go for the 9-0-1 formation - and that's just the stewards surrounding him. Yep, the Gerries ain't too happy with their ex-mananger and I'm sure they'll be hurling the horrible Hampden hot-dogs at him today.

Tonight, Matthew, I'm going to be media controller Joseph Goebbels
What also cheered me up this past week were Lorenzo Amoruso's comments about himself moving to Manchester United or Arsenal following his Rangers departure. The hilarious outburst will surely be the last from the man in sunny Glasgow, but honestly, what was he drinking when he said that?

But one man who is rumoured to be interested in the Stallion is ex-Gers boss Graeme Souness. But with Graeme's record of heart trouble, I honestly can't see big Amo settling in down south. His distribution is about as accurate as American gunfire, although his excellent spitting techniques may have proven to be a bit of winner with Souness.

Well, the Summer is nearly upon us and luckily for you, I don't think there'll be much in the way of updates for a little while yet. It's been a great first season on the site and long may it continue...

Souness: "Haw, Amo, stop acting like a big Fanny"

Amoruso: "Sorry, Boss, just trying out these new glasses."
