GOALKEEPERS
                    David Crawford

Born: Glasgow, 30th June 1985
Signed: from Dundee Boys Club, August 2003
Height: 5ft 10in
Mass: 11st 7lb
Debut: vs Peterhead, League, 13 December 2003

Promoted to the first team for the match against Elgin due to Brian McCue being injured, Crawford is a raw youth who made his Strollers debut in a draw with Falkirk at Lesser Hampden. His previous experience was gained in U-19 fixtures following his registration in the summer. He made his first team debut for the Spiders last season following the dismissal of Derek Scrimgour at Peterhead and stayed in goal the next week against Albion Rovers. Agility and confidence are David's two main strengths and he has now fully asserted himself as the number one goalkeeper at the club. Has played strongly this season, saving Queen's on more than a few occasions with some wonderful stops.

Brian was brought in to provide cover for Derek Scrimgour, after the losses of Cairns and Mitchell. The emergence of David Crawford as Queen's Park's number one goalkeeper resulted in Brian being totally frozen out of the QP set-up, with Steve McGovern being a regular on the bench and in the Strollers starting eleven. Was released in January 2005, and has now signed for Glenafton.

Another player who has featured in the Premier Division, with St. Mirren. Derek will obviously be aiming to be first-choice for league games after being signed along with Mark Cairns. Recently left Dumbarton, who had brought him in on a short-term basis following his exit from Love Street last summer. He totted up 37 starts for St. Mirren and came off the bench once. His first two SPL appearances, with Ludovic Roy injured, came at Celtic Park and Ibrox and Derek conceded 9 goals in those two tough games.
After playing a total of 39 games in season 2003/2004, Derek Scrimgour left the club and now turns out for Renfrew Juniors. He proved himself to be an excellent goalkeeper for the club and one which will be very hard to replace.
