Ally Graham
Born: Glasgow, 11th August 1966
Signed: from Hamilton Academical, July 2003
Height: 6ft 3in
Mass: 14st 10lb
Debut: vs. St. Mirren, Challenge Cup, 02/08/03

Ally has been signed to provide a massive physical presence for Queen's attack in the season ahead, and given the number of years he's been playing the game, he will doubtless have accumulated a wealth of experience. Graham's most recent team was Hamilton Accies, for whom he played against Queen's in last season's Scottish Cup, but he has played for most middle-ranking Scottish teams during his career. The full list is:
Clydebank, Albion Rovers, Ayr United, Motherwell, Raith Rovers, Falkirk, Partick Thistle, Albion Rovers again, Ayr United again, Clyde, TPV Tampere of Finland, Stirling Albion, Clydebank again, Hamilton Academical. He was a member of the Albion Rovers team that won the Second Division championship in 1989, and has made a total of 480 appearances on Scottish League pitches, scoring 119 goals. As witnessed from these figures, Ally is not so much a prolific striker as an excellent target man and provider for the other forwards, and judging by his free-kick goal against Hearts, there is a skill in that area that Queen's can put to use. Ally played in Raith Rovers's famous win over Celtic in the 1994 League Cup final, and won a First Division championship medal also that year. Judging by his glowing, if nomadic, career to date, Queen's have made an astute signing. Ally will also act as a coach.
                                          Derek Carcary

Born: Glasgow, 10th July 1986
Signed: on a Queen's Park Form D U-16, August 2003
Height: 5ft 6in
Mass: 10st 7lb
Debut: vs. Albion Rovers ( as Trialist ), 23/08/03

Barely 17 when he made his debut, Derek Carcary's potential is vast. Quite simply he's the fastest thing I've seen in a Queen's Park jersey, and it's his ability to destroy defences when running with the ball at his feet that makes him such a prospect. Despite all of our scoring difficulties, Derek - and his appearance would suggest he's barely adolescent, let alone 17 - is likely to be wrapped in cotton wool for a little while longer by the coach in order to preserve his skills for future use.  Almost buried Inverness when his scintillating run ended with a lob that just cleared the bar - a goal would have made it 3-1 and put the tie beyond doubt. Derek is scoring regularly at Strollers level and the day he grabs his first for the first team will be a special day indeed.
