Words cannot describe
   the joy my heart preserves,   
   as I acknowledge the 
   one gift not deserved.
 
   This gift is more valuable than money,
   more costly than gold,
   for the blood of Jesus Christ
   is the most expensive gift ever told.
 
   This gift cannot go away
   and will not be lost,
   for it is everlasting,
   and far more abundant than any other gift I've come across.
 
   This gift is nothing achieved
   and never able to earn,
   but by his wonderful mercy,
   I have the free will to learn.
 
   This gift is not only eternal life,
   having a home set above,
   but it's having a friendship with the God of this universe,
   and being filled with His love.
 
   When friends let you down,
   and make you wonder, "why?"
   I have a friend who is immortal,
   and will be the first to hear your cry.
 
   I will now allow Him to control my life
   and perform His will,
   for being in submission to Him
   is the best way to feel.
 
   During troubled times in life,
   and pleasures seem to drift,
   I can still say, "Thanks be to God
   for His unspeakable gift."
