Who’s that boy? (sounds of to “Who’s that Girl” by Madonna) = = =
Seto wakes, soaked in sweats and his eyes blood red. “Huh? What? A dream?” He lies back down and squints his eyes from the morning sun. “Who’s that boy? And why am I dreaming of him? He does look familiar though.” He looks at the mirror and shock appears on his face. “He looked like me when I was a kid!”
Dreams = = =
“Come Sia! The boat will leave without us!” A middle aged men dressed in priest garbs called out loudly. “Coming Head Priest!” A boy of 6 or 7, with dark blond brown hair with penetrating deep blue eyes cried back out loud. The boy runs holding on to pieces of parchments in his arms, and suddenly trips from a pit in the ground. He falls and rolls over to a nearby crate, dropping the parchments all over the place, and looks at the priest with wide eyes filling up with tears. The middle aged man walks over to the little boy, “Sia? Are you alright child? Let me look at that scrape.” The middle aged man takes out a cloth from his pocket and bandages the boy’s wounds. “It is not deep. It will heal soon. Here, let me help you with that.” They both pick up the parchments from the ground. “Is that everything?” The middle aged man asked. The boy nods, “Yes Head Priest. That is everything, 13 in total.” The middle aged man frowns at the boy, “Sia. How many times have I told you. Call me War-Mau (“great of sight” it means a priest who is permitted by God to see them. Not every one can see them you know, not even the Pharaohs) one day you will take my place I want us to be equals okay?” Sia nods, “Okay Hea . . . War-Mau.”
“Good. Now let’s hurry or we will miss our ride!” They both run towards a big cargo ship, it seems they had made it just in time.
Hours later = = =
Sia looks out the edge of the boat feeling and enjoying the coolness of the winds on his face. He thinks back, his past, there is nothing much about it. He was left on the Temple door steps, and found by War-Mau who was feeling lonely at that time and adopted the child as his own. Since then War-Mau has been more that his Savior, he was like a father, a mentor, and his only best friend. He owed him his life, and he loves him to death, and hated anybody who caused him pain. Such was his devotion to him, that he promised to be the greatest of all the known head priests before him. This was to be his greatest gift to War-Mau and learned everything that needed to be known about the world, the Gods, and anything that dealt with the Lives of Egypt. He smiled at the thought, someday he will be an Important figure of all Egypt, second to that of the Pharaoh.
“Sia? Where are you? It’s time for lunch.” War-Mau was looking above deck for Sia. “I’m hear War-Mau!” Cried out Sia. “I’m coming down now!” Sia jumps down and lands in front of War-Mau, startling him. “Aaa! Sia! Don’t do that! I am an old man you know, you’ll give me a heart attack!” “Sorry War-Mau. I didn’t mean to startle you like that. I was just enjoying the view.” “This is your first time out the Temple isn’t Sia?” “Yes.” “Enjoy it as much as you can, once we arrive to the palace we’ll be to busy to even get some fresh air.” “Okay. War-Mau?” “Yes.” “Why are we going to Alexandria anyway?” “The pharaoh Thutmose has foreseen some events about the future of Egypt. He is not happy with the dream, and needs help in deciphering some ancient text.” “Oh. Sounds bad.” “Yes. This one particularly.” Sia stares at his mentor, his eyes looks lost staring at something he cannot see and a frown on his face. Whatever it is, Sia is determined to help him.
Alexandria = = =
“Wow! I’ve never seen anything so beautiful before!” Sia jumps off the plank looking straight at the entrance of the city. All the building is white and people everywhere were wearing bright colored clothing's. In the center stands a tall golden colored palace and to the west of it is a very tall and huge building, “Must be The Great Library of Alexandria! It‘s Huge!” The smell of food lingers everywhere along with the smell of the sea. It is a breath taking sight, especially for someone whose spend his whole life inside the Temple doors. War-Mau looks at his protégée, and smiles at the gaping boy. “Come Sia! It looks like our ride has come!” And a horse and carriage stops in front of War-Mau. “Priest War-Mau. Welcome to Alexandria. The pharaoh is waiting eagerly for your arrival.” War-Mau and Sia load the carriage with their belongings and sits behind the driver. “Cool! I’ve never thought we would get to ride one of these things. Seeing as it’s only for the Royals or those of high status.” Exclaimed Sia. “Oh. But we Are of High Status Sia. I’m am the Head Priest of Isis. And you my Heir.”
“It is a long ride to the palace. Please enjoy the view and let me know if you need anything.” Said the driver. He whips the reins and the horses trots away. Sia is to busy looking at everything that comes into view. They are on the outside skirts of the city, and the place is busy with merchants selling their merchandise. Tents are put up everywhere, occupying every inch of the area. There are people selling fishes fresh from the sea, bakery, vegetables, jewelry, and weapons. So many noises and smells begins to envelope Sia, who is starting to get a headache and slumps down into his seat rubbing his head and nose. War-Mau glances towards him and laughs, “Ha ha ha! Overexerted yourself I see? No worry, you’ll get use to it, we’ll be here for a long while. Go ahead and rest, we still have a ways to go. I’ll wake you once we enter the inner gates of the palace.” “Thank-you.” With that, Sia falls asleep peacefully. War-Mau looks at him again, and talks to himself. Maybe the Child knows more about him, His powers are unlike any that I know of, but he is unaware of it. He probably doesn’t know his full potential, that could be bad, if He ever loses control. Ra help us.
Soon the carriage reaches the inner sanctum of the palace. “Sia. We are almost there now.” War-Mau gently nudges the boy awake. Sia wakes and yawns, he looks around him, “Greenery? In the desert? How?” There are trees of all kinds around him, some bearing fruits, flowers or just for show. And flowers he never seen even in books were in full bloom. “Alexandria is blessed with abundant rains. And this city is the center of trade, so there are many things growing here. Look, we are here now.” The carriage stops at the entrance of the main hall of the palace. And the driver takes out their baggage's and hands them to the servants. “He will take your baggage’s to your room. So you can go ahead and meet with the pharaoh.” Said the driver and he takes off.
“Uncle! Uncle! Welcome Back Uncle!” A shriek of a little girl can be heard coming out of the entrance of the palace. And out comes a little girl of 4 or 5, her hair is jet black and let loose down to her shoulder. She is wearing a plain white toga with a gold collar and arm bracelets. She jumps into the priest arms and hugs him tightly. “I’ve missed you so much. Will you tell me night stories again, Uncle Dearest!” The priest laughs and hugs and kisses the little girl. “And how has my little bird been doing. Into more mischief perhaps?” The girl pouts, “I’m not a little baby anymore Uncle! I’m a Lady now!” “Ha ha ha! This I’ve got to see!” “Meanie!” >.< “Oh? Whose this?” She looks at the boy child in front of her, and her face dims. “His name is Sia. My adopted son I’ve told you about. What’s wrong little bird?” The girl jumps down her uncle arms and looks dead straight into Sia’s eyes. “WHAT! WHAT do you want! STOP looking at me like That!” The girl raises one eyebrow, “A Forbidden Fruit that should have never happened. So you are Him. I see you are not aware of Yourself yet. Hmm? This will prove interesting. Uncle? This one, do you mind if I keep him for awhile?” She looks at her uncle. “But . . . very well. You seem to know what’s going on. But He Is My Heir Neftari, I will not allow any harm done to him, understand.” She gives the priest a dark glare and snorts, “Father is waiting in the study. I suggest you go to him, Time is something We don’t have. And as for Him, What I do with Him is My concern, Uncle Dearest. If you are not aware of his being yet, it would be wise to let me do what I wish!” She grabs Sia and leaves the priest dumbfounded. He sighs, Of all the things I can fear, I fear Her the most! She may look like a child, but I feel there is more to Her than her charms. He begins to walk towards the pharaohs study.
“Hey! Let Go of Me Now!” Sia snatches his arms away from the girl. “Just WHO do you think You are? I have Important things to do! I don’t Have time to play with You! Now take me to where War-Mau is!” Sia glares at the girl evilly with menace in his voice. “I see that your true colors are coming through. Guess you can’t fight Who You Are, huh Sia? And from now on you will call me My Lady.” “The hell I’m not! You don’t Own Me! I will only obey War-Mau’s orders, not from no snotty girl like you!” Sia yelled out loud. “Oh really?” The girl just stands looking at him amused at his sudden outburst. She holds out a hand and a clear orb hovers above it, and slowly makes it’s way to Sia. Soon Sia is sucked into the orb, “Aaaahhh! What the!” The girl laughs and disappears into thin air.
A world in shadows = = =
Sia looks around, he starts to panic, “Where am I? Once I get my hands of that Girl . . . I . . . I.” “You’ll what?” The girl appears before him, floating midair sitting with her legs crossed. “So? How does it Feel to be Home, Sia?” Sia stares at the girl, jaws dropped and stunned seeing her floating. “ ? ? ? Home? What do you mean? I don’t know this place? I’ve never seen it before. And where the Heck are We?” “This is a Shadow World, like our own but different, existing alongside ours but never touching. Some people call it the world of dreams, but it is as real as anything else. Right now we are at the Dragon King’s Lair. This place is a Part of You, just close your eyes and tell me what you feel.” Sia doesn’t know what she’s talking about, but he does what he’s told. “That’s strange? I don’t remember this place, but it feels, so familiar, like I belong here.” Just then 2 little kids appears before them, they look around 5 years old. But attached to their backs are a pair of white bat-like wings, and their eyes are deep blue but their iris is larger than normal humans, and their hair is silvery-white. “It’s been awhile Nuri, Nuria.” Neftari said as the 2 came nearer. “Welcome Princess.” Said the little boy (Nuri). “Are you to stay for awhile? We’ve been bored for sometime now, no one wants to play with us!” Said the girl (Nuria). “Probably they're scared you might eat them?” “We Are Not that Barbaric Like the Others!” Said the 2. “What did you expect? Humans fear Anything That‘s Not Human.” “But your Human! And you not scared of Us!” The boy said. “I’m not like any Normal Human. But in time I’ll will, once the Passing of Age comes.” Suddenly a boy a bit older than the 2 appears. “And what do we owe the All Mighty Sealer for this visit?” Snorted the boy. “Nusair! That is an impolite way to greet the Princess! Now Apologize!” Growled Nuria. “Why should I? She Is In our World Now. *he licks his lips* With her death we’ll be Free to live in the Light and Find us a New Home!” Neftari glares at him unfliching and laughs. “And how do You suppose to Kill me? You can’t even light a Fire!” Nusair growls and lunges towards Neftari. She moves swiftly out of his path and knee jams him in the gut. Nausair falls to the ground holding his stomach trying to catch his breath but it is painful. Then Neftari holds out her hand and shouts, “Daemonsbane! Appear before me!” A black sword tinted with blood appears in her hands and she points it towards Nusair. “You know of this sword don’t you? *Nausair trembles* I will only tell you this once, I will not tolerate Any Disobedience towards Me! Remember that! You should be glad I didn’t seal you with the others! It is even Darker and Colder where they are! This will be your Last Warning Nausair! Next time I will not be so Forgiving! Now disappear from My Sight before I change My mind!” With that Nausair changes into a dragon and flies off somewhere grumbling. “I may have to seal Him one Day. Before he starts a revolt and destroys the human race.” She looks at the 2 who stares back at her. “Sorry Princess. He . . . he is not our brother anymore. He’s changed since our kingdom fell. His soul already belongs to the Darkness, we couldn’t save him, we tried, really we did.” They said together crying. “It’s not your fault. He brought it to himself, he should know better than to give in to the Darkness.” Neftari sighs and thinks to herself (It is growing stronger everyday. I wish I knew what or who is feeding it) She looks at Sia, who is just standing there speechless, mouth agape and eyes wide. She laughs a little to herself, “Nuri, Nuria take me to the Dragon’s Orb.” The 2 looked at her, “Are you sure? Only the Dragon King can wield it. Even if You are the Sealer, not even You can use it’s power.” “Who said it was for me?” “What?” “It’s for Sia.” “But he is Human! No Human can even get near it without dying!” Nuria exclaimed. “Princess! You must reconsider!” Said Nuri. Neftari walks towards Sia, “Sia? Trust me, okay. You’ll be fine. I’ll protect you.” And she pulls him towards a broken down castle. “Are you going to lead me or do I have to look for it myself!” Neftari yelled at the 2. And they guide them toward the castle.
Sia is totally confused and scared. It’s not everyday you get sucked into a different Realm, the Shadow Realm to be exact. And see half human half dragons Talking like normal people. And this girl is a Princess! (Oh Man! War-Mau will get mad at me for talking back to a Royal!) And what’s this Dragon’s Orb about, why did she say to trust her, and why is she going to protect me for, Protect Me from What! Why does she act like she knows me? What and Who is this Girl? What’s a Sealer? What the heck is going on?! Sia’s mind is going in circles, things are happening to fast, and no one is explaining what’s going on!
Neftari glanced back at Sia. “Don’t worry. Everything will be revealed to you soon. About you, your past, The Truth. You Might Not like What You See. But someone Has to tell you, before you . . . lose yourself . . . and destroy the ones you Love.” Sia looks at her, a tear falls from her eyes, he looks at it, he’s never really noticed it before, but her eyes are really lovely. A deep royal purple, with the look of ancient knowledge, and a glitter of stars seems to be shining in them. He nods and lets her pull him to where ever they are going.
“We’re here!” Said the 2, and points to a crystal orb that is shining brightly with all the colors of the rainbow. “Sia. Go to the orb and ask it your deepest desire.” “My deepest desire?” “Yes. You want to know the truth of your existence right? About your parents? And why they left you? And why this place feels familiar to you. Ask it. It will tell you what you want to know.” “I don’t understand what’s going on. But if that thing can explain it, then I guess I have no choice but to go.” “Sia. You are not alone. If you need help, just call, okay? I’ll come rescue you.” Her smile seems sincere, and he walks towards the orb. He looks at it for awhile and picks it up, “I’m still alive, maybe they were joking about Humans dying just by looking at this thing.”
Suddenly the orb begins to glow, and he feel someone talking into his mind. “Welcome home Young Prince. What is your desire?” “Did you just call me Prince?” “Yes.” “Umm . . . Do you know about me, who I am, why was I left, and where my parents are?” “Yes. Do you wish to see your past?” “I guess I do.” “Very well, if that is your wish.” Soon there is a bright light and he is surrounded by it.
In the background.= = =
“He’s our lost Prince?” Said Nuri. “Yes.” Replied Neftari. “How did you know?” Questioned Nuria. “Did you not feel his aura? It is of the Dragon King. He is the Heir to the Dragon’s King Lair. He was born mortal because the Past king fell in love with a human woman. Which is strictly forbidden for creatures of this world, but he fought against it, and it cost him, dearly.” “What is going to happen now?” Nuri asked. “That is up to Sia. By blood, he is the rightful heir to the King of the Dragons. Even I cannot stop him, if he desires to be King. All I can do is guide him, and pray he will be a good leader.” “And what is he doesn’t want to be king? What will happen to us?” Said Nuria. “That is up to Nun Himself.” They all look at the image the orb started to produce.
Dream within a Dream = = =
Sia finds himself in a huge room, it seems to be a nursery because they were a lot of baby stuff on the floor. Then he notice a baby crying and he starts to walk towards the source of the noise. He stops in front of the balcony, and sees a beautiful woman covered in a deep scarlet robe, hugging and crying the infant in her arms. “Don’t worry Sia. Mother will not let them lay one finger on you. I will protect you, even if it cost me my life.” The woman glances towards a shadowy figure entering from a hidden door. “Who’s there? Show yourself!” “It’s me Kalanit, you must escape now while there is time.” A tall man comes out the shadow, he has deep blue eyes, like the inner blue of a flame, and his hair is a deep golden-brown color with a thin reddish gold band set on his forehead. “These two will show you out of the Shadow Realm. Find refuge and stay there until someone comes for you.” “What if no one comes?” “Then that means we have lost. I love you my wife. Please take care of our son. One day he will take my place as the King of Dragons and rebuild our home. And tell him . . . He will always be in my heart.” A tear falls from the man’s face and faces the two children in front of him. “Take her out! I’ll hold them off as long as I can!” Then there is a loud bang on the door. “We know your in there! Open up! And we might just spare the life of your family!” Said a rough man’s voice behind the door. “Never! I rather die than give them to you! Go Now! Nuri, Nuria. Take my family out off here at once!” “Yes my lord!” Said the 2 children and wings sprouted from their back and then they changed into a huge white dragons with deep blue eyes. One of them grabbed the woman and place her gently on the others back and they took off high into the air. Once out of sight, the door finally falls open. “Damn you King Ashram! Tell me where the Dragon Orb is or else you’ll see the destruction of your kingdom and your Dragon clan!” Said a tall man covered in a black cloak, but you can see a gleaming red eyes through the hood. “Never! We are ready to give up our lives to protect the Orb! I won’t give up that easily, it’s you that will die Set!” “So you figure out who I am. Well I guess I have to just kill you know! Can’t let the Gods figure out I’m after the Orb, not when I’m so close to getting what is Rightfully Mine in the First Place.” “Are you still at war with Horus? He won fair and square Set, give it up, Ra already gave his blessing to him. There is nothing more you can do!” “Ah! But you are so wrong about that Ashram! Once I collect the power sealed in the Sacred Items, I will have Absolute Power! I can even overthrow Ra Himself! Mwahahahahaha! Now tell me where it is Ashram?” “Never!” Said Ashram.
King Ashram then pulled out his sword and lunges forward towards Set. Set pulls his sword forward at Ashram. The sound of 2 sword clashing echoes in the room. Ashram swiftly twirls around and slices at Set’s back and Set screams a loud with a piercing growl, and black blood begins to drip from his back. Set quickly turns around angrily and swings at Ashram slicing at his chest. Ashram pulls back grabbing at his chest and with his weight behind him he dives for Set aiming for his heart. But Set moves quickly and swings his sword with absolute precision. With another flurry of blade work, the two bounce apart for a moment’s respite. This continues for what seems like hours, until they are both out of breath, and they have lost quite a lot of blood. The floor is wet with the black blood of Set and the crimson ones of Ashram. “This will be our final blow Ashram, but I Will be the Victor of this Fight!” “Don’t be so Sure Set! I will take you down with me if I have too!” They both stare at each other with a menacing glare, and gather what little energy they have left. Swords are held up high and they make a dash towards each other. There is a blinding light, and the sound of swords breaking echoes all around. The two falls down, blood gushing out like fountains. “Aarugh. Forgive me Kalanit. I cannot be with you or Sia now. Please Ra, watch over them.” And with his last breath King Ashram collected all his remaining energy and lets it out in a big explosion blowing up his castle and the surrounding area. “You will be coming to Hell with me Set.” Little did he know, Set survived that blast by teleporting himself out, but now he is left weak and vulnerable. He summons an Anubis Warrior and it takes him to a nearby abundant cave.
Now Sia is transported to an outside world, where the woman, his mother leaves him near a Temple Door. “You will be safe with these humans Sia. Forgive Me. But I have no other choice. They will find me sooner or later. You are not safe here with me.” She kisses the child. “I love you Sia, and I’ll always will. Good-bye my love, you are always in my heart, always.” She knocks on the door, and hides behind a barrel next to a nearby building. She sees an old man picking up her son. She looks at him closely and sighs out a relief, “His heart is kind, surely he will take care of you.” And with that she disappears into the night.
Awakening = = =
Sia is blinded by another flash of light and finds himself back in the original room that he started in. “Are you okay Sia?” Asked Neftari. “They . . . died . . . to protect me?” “Yes. They are your parents, they did what all parents would do to protect their children.” Sia falls to the ground crying pulling his legs toward his chest. Neftari kneels next to Sia, “It’s okay Sia. You can cry all you want. I’ll be here for you.” And Sia cries on her shoulder, while Neftari gently strokes her hands through his silky hair. “Things will get rough for you in the future Sia. You must learn how to be strong and stand your own ground. Until then, I will let no harm come your way, I promise.”
