A year or so later, he got together with my dad and Brian Schuth and did a play called "Art" under the name, the Magnificent Liars. That went well I guess and they must have had a good time because he got a whole heapload of people together to do a show called "Long Voyage Home" in 2003. It was set in a bar so they decided to perform it in bars. They traveled around the area performing. In December of 2003, the Liars (specifically Mike's brilliant wife Anne) began to produce a Liars creation called Barflies. I guess the LVH show went so well in bars they thought they'd go for it again. Barflies was 8 "playlets", all of which were humorous except for one, which was accompanied by little percussion interludes between the scenes. We basically rehersed whenever people were available. There were three different directors, plus a musical director, crew and 12 eccentric, or as my dad says "fringe" actors. We did the show in four locations. It apparently had some strange effect on me because I haven't gotten over the madness yet. Enjoy!
