The Composer and Co-Lyricist
     
WILLIAM WHITEFIELD

      William Whitefield is a respected composer, lyricist,
      conductor and performer in New York City.  He
      collaborated with science fiction writer Ray Bradbury
      on the musical adaptation of The Day It Rained
      Forever, based on Mr. Bradbury's short story of the
      same name.  He also wrote music for The 13
      Hallucinations of Julio Rivera, a play by Stephen Culp
      which premiered at The Lark Theatre last year in NYC.
      Recently, he conducted the world premiere of Frederick
      Hohenzollern at Spivey Hall in Atlanta and The
      Connecticut Arts Gala at the Bushnell in Hartford.

      Off-Broadway, he played Bob Becket in H.M.S.
      Pinafore with the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players
      at Symphony Space and Randy in Identical Twins from
      Baltimore at Playhouse 91.  He has been seen at such
      regional theatres as Goodspeed Opera House,
      Tennessee Repertory Theatre, American Stage Company
      and Northshore Music Theatre.

      William is the Associate Director of Western
      Michigan's Cherry County Playhouse and the Artistic
      Director of The Genesius Guild, a non-profit theatre
      company in NYC dedicated to the development of new
      plays and musicals. 

      He is a member of American Society of Composers,
      Authors and Publishers, The Dramatists Guild, American
      Federation of Television of Radio Artists and Actor's
      Equity Association.
