Today was the day.
Freyr stood in front of the mirror, straightening his cape. He smiled wide and checked his perfectly clean and white teeth. His hair, neat and yet somewhat messy at the same time was quickly brushed down. Heimdall walked in on him primping.
"What are you doing?"
Freyr grinned again. "I'm going OUT!" Pose. Sparkle sparkle. Heimdall rolled his eyes. The other Norse god took a moment to do a little spin, and then he glanced over at his friend.
"What are YOU doing?"
"Well, I was going to do something with Loki today..."
Freyr stared. Heimdall corrected himself immediately. "I was going to do something *destructive* TO Loki today."
"Ah. Okay then, I'm off!"
"Where are you going anyway?" Heimdall asked dryly. Freyr, who had been dutifully marching towards the door, turned and saluted.
"Yamato Nadesico! Today is the day when I will win her heart... This time for sure! No one will stop me... She, who is the most beautiful and the most caring and the most precious to me..."
Heimdall had stopped listening in favor of looking out the window.
"SO I'm going today, ha ha ha!" He threw open the door. "Oy, GULLINBURSTI!"
"BUHIII!"
-------------
Frery arrived in front of the Enjaku detective agency promply at 9:30AM. Yamino answered the door after it had been run into several times by a disgruntled and impatient steel pig.
"Yes, may I- Ah! Freyr-san. It's you."
"Yes! It is *I*! I have come to retrieve my wonderful Yamato Nadesico! I have reason to believe she spends a lot of time here..." Another pose. Yamino looked confused and pushed his glasses furthur up on his nose.
"Who are you looking for?"
Freyr didn't hear him and merely pushed past. He ran up the stairs and burst into the first huge door he saw.
Loki was sitting at his desk, quietly drinking his usual cup of tea and looking over some documents. He didn't even notice Freyr walk in until a white gloved hand came crashing down upon his papers. The trickster god looked up, mildly interested. "Yes?"
"Loki! Where is my Yamato Nadesico? Are you hiding her somewhere in here?"
"Hiding who?"
"Yamaaaatoooo Nadesicooooo!" Freyr began looking under furniture and in the closets. Loki sat back in his chair, slightly amused. A couple of valuable antiques shattered as Freyr nearly turned the whole room upside down. The curtains behind Loki's desk were nearly torn off, and before he could look under the actual desk, Yamino walked in.
"Loki-sama, Narugami-san is here to... see... you..." Yamino trailed off, noticing all the damage. He had just cleaned this room... Turning pale, he fell to the floor in a crumpled heap.
Loki blinked. "Yamino-kun?"
"LOKI! I WANNA TALK TO YOU!!!"
It was then that Thor, god of thunder, walked into the study, bokken in one hand and a box of something in the other. Freyr hardly noticed him and simply moved in front of Loki's desk in order to speak to him.
"Loki, I want to know where my Yamato Nadesco is hi-"
"LOKI! I'm selling chocolates for a fund raiser!"
Loki looked at him. "Again? What is it for this time?"
"For the Narugami fund, that's what! Come on, buy some, they're really good!"
"Well..."
Freyr looked insulted by the interruption. Moving closer, he promptly stamped down on Thor's foot. The other god let out a loud shriek, followed by angry growls as he glared accusingly at Freyr.
"What did you do that for?!"
Freyr smiled, feigning cluelessness. "You wouldn't happen to know where my Yamato Nadesico would be... would you?"
Loki was covering his mouth and trying hard not to laugh out loud. Then he watched Narugami hold up his bokken threatningly, and he decided that perhaps he ought to move out of the way... out of the room, out of the house, down the block...
"THAT'S IT! Let's GO!" The god of thunder took his battle stance.
Freyr, remembering his ultimate task for the moment, ran to the open window. "I shall accept your challenge... later! For now, I must find my lovely Yamato Nadesico, so that she may witness my victory and be astonished!" And out he leapt, plummeting to the ground below. Gullinbursti rushed over to his master's side, being just a tad bit remorseful for not breaking the god's fall. None the less, Freyr managed to pry his face from the dirt and smile triumphantly up at the sky. "To the school, Gullinbursti!"
