Okay, so you thought those mondegreens on the last page were bad? You have yet to see my worst mondegreen. Let me warn you, it's bad. It's so bad I didn't even put it on the last page. Okay, you're sure you want to see it? Okay then:
The song was "Out on the Tiles". Led Zeppelin, on Led Zeppelin III. My first Zeppelin record, I remember it fondly....anyways, on "Out on the Tiles", the line is:
"I've got me a fine woman, says that I'm her man."
But my (terrible, terrible) mishearing was:
"I've got me a fat woman, assumes that I'm a man."
What's truly scary is that for the longest time I thought this was correct. As you can see, I have a thing for bad Zeppelin mondegreens.
