We can't help but love them for their love for each other. Most of us knew at the very start, that there would be a relationship there. If you didn't know by instinct after a few clues you must have clued in you'r self.

First time I knew was when Van was sharpening his gymelef's sword and Hitomi walked in. They were making little chit chat. Just as Van is about to leave he, very quietly says "Hitomi, I don't know if I..." Then he ran off all shy and all! How cute was that?? ^_^ I loved that scene. Too bad he couldn't finish the sentance though, but that added to the drama of the whole thing.

Another hint was when Hitomi and Van were sitting in a barn, Van was once again sharpening his gymelefs swored and Hitomi wasn't feeling good so Van gave her some, what I thought looked like a coconut to drink out of. Hitomi was starting to like Van a little more, I think there, because he was trying to cheer her up. But then all of a sudden he blurts out "I need you Hitomi!!" Hitomi was very surprised at this, I don't blame her, and spills her coconut drink on the ground!! Then he went on explaining that he wanted her to fight be his side and help him by using her powers. She was more than a little angry at that, she was very very angrey, lol ^_^. The next thing you see is a bunch of birds come flying out of the barn and a weird smacking noise, very dramatic. I didn't know what it was at first untill they showed Van, alone, sharpening his gymelef with a red hand print on his face?! That wasn't really a clue as to Van liking HItomi but he "needed her" so that might have a hidden meaningt to it....never know!! ^_^

When Hitomi left Gaea because she couldn't take it any more, she found her self wanting to go back to Van. She was in her room and said to her self "I dont want to go back to that, why would any one want to go back" Then a tear ran down her face as she whispered "van". So she did all the same things hopping the pilar of light would come again and bring her back. Back in Gaea Van wanted Hitomi to come back as well and Merle noticed, she knew he loved Hitomi. He was staring up at the Earth, Merle walked over and asked him "Your thinking about her arent you?" Then she went on explaining how she knows that he cares for her and reminded him that Hitomi always says if you like some one they will always return the same feelings, so Hitomi must feel the same, and she was right. Van started flying Escaflowne towards The mystic moon. On Earth Hitomi saw Van and he reached his hand out to help Hitomi on Escaflowne, now heres the hint, Van says "I'll never let you go" and Hitomi huged Van after getting on Escaflowne.

Once when Van was away and Hitomi was worried about him Allen tried to cheer her up he told her " Don't worry Van will be back because the most important person to him is here, you"

In the end she finds her self so scared and worried about Van she finally realizes it and says to her self "I love Van..." Then that beam of light comes and takes her away to Dorkirk....Where Van makes his best rescue yet!! With wings and all!!

It's a shame though that in the end Hitomi still wants to go back home to Earth. Why I haven't the clue she's, crazy if you ask me she finds her love and wants to go back to a world she didn't really like in the first place, and here she is in a world with 'the one' and lots of friends that she cares about and they care about her. But noooooo, she wants to go back home....in a way I don't blame her I'd want tog o back to my friends and family, but only to say bye and I'll miss them. Then I would want to go back!!! Wouldn't you?!? But wow! I'm going on and on about that back to what I was saying. They silently agree that she "has" to go back to Earth. Hitomi gives Van her pendant and some people say Van gave her a feather- as forget me nots. They have a very sad last huge good bye, and Van reaches up to the sky with his energest and the beam of light comes and takes Hitomi away!

When she's back on Earth waiting at the bus stop with her friends, including Yuckari, Van come to Earth for a few seconds to check on Hitomi, he's sitting on a rock out on the river, with no shirt on- Bonus!, and his wings spread out beautifuly. Hitomi happily whispers "I'll be just fine."

Sadly there will not be a second season, but I think there should be!! There should so be a season two!! It would please a lot of people out there, wouldn't you agree?

I'm not good at conclusions...lol ^_* So I'll end it there, untill next time my friends. Ja ne!
