Socks, stockings, cloth foot coverings. I call them snugglies myself. I have multiple issues with socks. I do not like wearing socks. They irritate my hairy feet. I should consider myself lucky not to be a Hobbit. I wouldn't be able to survive the age of the stockinged foot. I also do not like white socks. White socks always lose their match, always sneak into your colours when your doing a wash. I also wear my socks inside out, for they are made wrong, and they are uncomfortable when worn normally. There are so many socks, everyone has like twenty pairs of socks, as do I. Instead of pairing them together, I just toss them together into the drawer, and pick a new multi coloured match. Most of my socks are black anyways, so they do not look too far off. But I don't mind mismatched socks one bit. Don't even get me started on holes in socks! They are always right were one of your toes are, and just big enought for the little bugger to poke out of. Or how about those socks that always seem to slide off of your foot, while in your shoe? How is that possible? Yeah, and must I add the socks you buy that shrink to half their original size after you wash them. So it's two battles every morning trying to pull them on. I can't count the number of times I've kicked my socks off to find that my foot is now the same colour as the sock, and it ends up my socks fade faster then my feet! It seems that I am knocking socks quite a bit here, but I don't call them snugglies for nothing. I think socks make a great Christmas gift, and I look forward to recieving a new pair each and every year. New socks are soo warm and vibrant, I just want to slide all over the kitchen floor with them. Not to mention that socks are how I started juggling. If you don't have three equal sized balls then just grab three pairs of socks and toss 'em. Oh, oh, and how can you deny the world of the beloved sock puppet. Fun for everyone. Sure I've never made one in my life, but they are still super cool. In conclusion, snugglies may be totally annoying and useless if you're a hobbit, but deep down, either cotton or silk, the socks are tryin' their darndest to please, and that makes them tops in my drawer. |
