March 2328 - First colony built on Mars. Consisted mainly of military and research personnel but later expanded to include commercial ventures in the areas of biology, cartography, mineralogy, and military research. Completed in 2334.

September 2408 - Both Genesis Starstation and Starpath Starstation are completed in orbit around Earth and Mars, respectively. Both stations are quasi-military, with independent interests.

April 2899 - A Terran deep space probe, Voyager 2, discovers extra-terrestrial life in Alpha Centauri. Space research is boosted by 75%. Work begins on new engines, reactors, and space craft components. Insurgent political activities becomre stronger as the possiblity of alien life forms becomes real.

August 2949 - The UFN makes first contact with the Zelon nation. While cartographing Zelon space, the ECV Seeker observes a sizable alien fleet entering the region. The new group of warships, from the then-unknown Credian nation, launch a horrifying nuclear attack on the planet's surface. The Zelons' understandable suspicion of the ECV Seeker's mission quickly turns to open hostility. Immediately, craft from both alien militaries turn on the bewildered Terrans. Refusing to return fire, the Terran Commander orders a retreat to the Polaris Starsystem. Several well placed Zelon missiles desecrate the ECV Seeker's upper decks, killing all bridge crew. Richard Garrison assumes command and reroutes the ship's primary controls to Engineering.

Convinced that the Terrans had stolen the artifact for which they searched, the Credians persue the ECV Seeker through the Sirius Starsystem, boarding the Terran vessel and extracting a heavy death toll on the crew. As Chief Engineer Garrison spearheads a marine squad counter-offensive to retake the forward section of the ship, three EarthCOM cruisers emerge from the Jupiter jumpgate. The Terrans demand that the Credians personally search the ECV Seeker right then and there to verify that the artifact was not aboard. Impressed with the Terrans' show of force but initial refusal to fight, the Credian Commander agrees, so as to not strain relations any further. Because of Garrison's courage and at the request of the surviving crew, EarthCOM promots him to Commander of the ECV Seeker.

August 2997 - Moments before the Insurgents destroy the ECV-Antithesis in the Battle of Mars, Garrison and those of his crew who survive to that point beam aboard several Insurgent vessels. Though Insurgent marines aboard their ships eliminate most of them in short order, Garrison manages to rig the ICV Nevermore's nuclear reactor to self-destruct. Akira's marines make quick work of the few marines and engineers at Garrison's side and inflict minor wounds on the fledging Alliance Commandant, but not before Garrison's last engineer manages to seal off Engineering from the rest of the Nevermore. With the reactor's destruction timer counting down, Garrison neutralizes most of the last security team that made it into Engineering, except its leader - Insurgent Two himself. Now alone in Engineering, the two veteran Terran warriors fight it out - at first with conventional weapons. But as the Nevermore's reactor timer passes under the 1 minute mark, its crew face half again as much time to remove Engineering's blocade, regain access and assist their Commander. A hand to hand struggle ensues with Akira on top of Garrison; Garrison slowly twists Insurgent Two's left wrist past the point of breaking as his other arm gradually gives ground to Akira's blade approaching his right eye. The Insurgent's left shoulder tears out of its socket as his blade penetrates more than an inch into the Alliance Commandant's right eye. Bearly uttering a sound from the pain, Garrisons manages the word "belt" as Akira finally penetrates his brain, silencing Garrison forever. After the death strugge, Insurgent Two finds a small datapad strapped to Garrison's belt displaying a code. With just seconds remaining, he enters this code into the main computer, gains access and quickly edisables the destruction timer of the ICV-Nevermore's nuclear reactor. Turning his attention back to the battle at hand, Akira sees his forces faultering without his live oversight. As more Galcom forces enter the region, Insurgent Two orders a full retreat. [First Gammulan War]

August 3000 - The First Gammulan Conflict erupts. Gammulan forces, trying to steal information about a secret fuel based on the element Iridium, launch a full-scale assault on Terran space, where a secret base has been established by EarthCOM and Empirian military scientists on the surface of Neptune. The war lasts only two weeks. It begins with a planned meeting between Insurgent and GALCOM forces, in an attempt to safe-guard the return of the spy Alun Tringad. This meeting rapidly degenerates when massive cloaking traces are detected. An enormous Gammulan fleet makes it?s presence known in Polaris, before pushing through to Jupiter, where a GALCOM force spear-headed by Orion Fleet manages to hold it back. Commander DeSylva, knowing they need the Insurgents as allies to try and overcome the vast odds they are facing, forces GALCOM Fleet Command to approve a new set of IFF codes, using the largely unused SDF designator and reapplying it as Terran Defense Fleet, to both Insurgent and GALCOM ships. The conflict ends with the Insurgents largely unscathed, GALCOM taking moderate losses, and EarthCOM on it?s knees, it?s secret base on the surface of Neptune devastated by a massive nuclear attack launched by the Insurgent Akira for reasons that are still classified. Corsair Wing of Wraith fleet finds itself deep in enemy territory, and begins the long journey home.
