The is a nice Super Mario Brothers clone. This is one of the clone that is widely available across the internet. If your game does not have the title screen shown above and you are stuck at level 4 then the version you have is the beta version.
Similarities to the original Super Mario Brothers:
-Characters in game
-Allows the option to auto-save after each level
-Movement
-Option of one-player pr two-players (each player takes turns to play)
Differences to the original Super Mario Brothyers:
-Mario can move back to the previous screen
-There are many interesting hidden items on the levels
-On some levels, there is an alternative exit (longer route but fewer animals / dangers as compared to the first exit)
Items in game:
Pink Mushroom: Make Mario bigger
Green Mushroom: Extra life
Blue Mushroom: Poison Mushroom (effect is like bumping into animal - reduce power by one level)
Flower: Fire power (shoot fire balls)
Star: Star power (temporarily invincible)
Coins: Points, every certain number of points earn you an extra life
There are many other items like invisible blocks, bouncing blocks, fire spitting flower etc.
Power:
Mario starts up small. He gets the pink mushroom first then the flower and after that the star.
No of levels: No idea
There are supposed to be 6 levels but people have managed to reach level 12 and someone reached level 55. Maybe there is more than that. The only way to find out is to play and see.
Level 1 is the best for practicing the controls. It has also includes hidden coins, hidden coins, hidden green mushroom and possibility of earning unlimited lives.
The auto-save will restore your game to the beginning of the level stopped with 3 lives and no extra power.
