One year has passed since the battle ended. It's AC (After Colony) 196. Hoping to

               continue this era of peace, Quatre and the other pilots decide to send the 4 Gundams
               on a one-way trip into the sun. Then a new crisis erupts. While on a diplomatic visit to
               the frontier colony of X-18999, located at the remote Langrange Point 3, Relena, the
               Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, is abducted. In response, Heero and Duo sneak
               into the colony. Here they find their former allies Trowa and Wufei standing in
               opposition. Meanwhile, the person in command of the unit responsible for Relena's
               abduction, the late Treize's daughter, Mariemaia declares war on the Earth Sphere
               Unified Nation. The situation entirely unbeknownst to him, Zechs returns in mobile suit
               Tallgeese III, and finds that he is no match for the enemy leader, Dekim. Quatre
               counters by deciding to bring the Gundams back to Earth in a difficult manuever using
               the interplanetary transport ship.
