| Angel at My Wedding Reception Kathleen Dolman Here's why I believe in angels. One came to my wedding reception. Sounds weird, you're right. We have been married for ten years. And I still can't understand it. We are both Christians, my husband and I. In July of 1987 we were married. We had a morning wedding and an afternoon reception. As we stood in the reception line, people were coming to greet us before they went to their seats. We only have about a hundred people at our wedding, mostly my relatives. I remember a woman, I remember exactly what she looked like and what she said. She came in line, shook my husbands hand and when she got to me,she held my hand and just kept saying how happy she was for me and how beautiful I looked. I didn't recognize her, but I thought perhaps it was a relative of my husband, or a distant relative of mine that I had not seen for a while. The reason I remembered her was that she lingered so long, holding my hand, and looking in my eyes and smiling that I almost had to move her along because others were lingering behind her and the line was backing up. After the wedding, I remember asking my husband who that lady was. He had no idea who I meant. I went through all the wedding pictures, the videos and all my cards and none of them were from anyone unfamiliar to either of us. The more I thought about it, the more decided I have become that this was my guardian angel, just come to wish me well on my happiest day of my life. |
