| Angel Watching Over Us submitted by [email protected] In the summer of 1977 I still lived at home with my parents. My mother and I road together to work every morning and home every evening together. Our usual route was down a country road and across a very busy highway. This highway is always very busy with lots of traffic especially semis. This particular day we were stopped at the stop light waiting to cross the highway. The light changed and I started to pull forward. Something stopped both my car and the car next to mine on the right. I remember thinking what is wrong with my car. In that split second a semi truck came barreling through the inter section on my left. He had run his red light. In fact he had never even slowed down from the 55 mph speed limit. Had my guardian angel not stopped my car and the car on my right my mother and I would have been crushed between the semi and the other car. Or between the car on my right and othercars pulling up to the red light on my left. We thanked God right there for taking such good care of us and for sending his angels to have charge over us. With kids carrying guns and knives. Gangs cropping up everywhere. It makes it easier to send my son to school knowing that God and his angels are watching over him. It's a relief to know that when I can't be with him God has sent his angels to protect the most precious person in my life. |
