Other features: Deeply tanned, a few scars on his hands from knives, hooks, and the like; one burn on the inside of his right forearm from a kitchen accident when he was younger. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between Greg and Sahra, with their similar hair and eyes, and even similar facial profiles (they are twins after all!).
History: Where his twin sister Sahra is a thoughtful person, Geghan can be a brooding person. His slightly cynical thoughts are usually aimed at himself rather than others, and while self-depreciation might normally come to mind, it is more often a strength of his rather than a weakness, giving him the determination he needs to succeed. In this way, Gina, their mother, has often remarked that he is so like his elder brother Cheynoron. It is with this determination that Greg reassured his father upon their leaving. Call it self-confidence if you will, but he simply would not allow himself to become a "failure" and return home without a lifemate!
Sahra agreed with her twin's assertions to a certain extent, but she reminded him that not everyone can Impress! Like their brother Ch'ron, they would arrive at Quasar Weyr without so much as being Searched! Jujuliyth did not have the Searching capabilities, so there was even less of a guarantee. It was then that she promised that if they failed on the Sands, she would come home with Greg and enter his dolphineering craft. Her devotion touched him deeply even though he could expect no less from her, and he knew that if either of them had a chance to Impress, it was his sister Sahra.
About a sevenday after their arrival at Quasar Weyr, a queen flamewher laid her clutch. At the time, he and his sister, now both official Candidates, were studying their lessons. Sahra wasn't sure which she would prefer, a dragon or a 'wher, and Greg was sure he knew until he heard her firelizards take flight in their excitement. Preferences set aside, the twins agreed that a flamewher was just fine!
Now in the aftermath of a failed Impression and rejection by a black flamewher, he finds himself following in his brother's footsteps, feeling the first crack in a slowly growing rift with his younger twin sister... But is that feeling merely from his own growing despair, or is it real?
