DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a slash site!!! I do not endorse any form of Tolkien slash and nor does any player on Beleriand. Slash is totally foreign to Tolkien's world. Hoewever, we do believe that Elves are beings capable of intense emotion and are perfectly capable of expressing such emotion in the form of touching, even among the same sex where the relationship is totally platonic. Just as, in some cultures, it is acceptable for men to hug and kiss their male friends during intimate (or sometimes in public) moments with each other without being thought of as homosexual and that is is permissible in most cultures for females to touch each other without homosexual overtones, so it is among the Elves. Males may touch other males in extremely intimate (but not sexual!) ways without there being any homosexuality involved, only a very strong platonic relationship, such as might exist between brothers or very close friends. My work reflects this belief.
If you are the sort of person who cannot tolerate any type of intimate touching between members of the same sex, then simply do not read the logs marked with an asterisk (*) and spare me the flaming. All of my work is rated from G to PG-13 with no graphic scenes sexually (graphic sex is forbidden on Beleriand as MUSH policy) and only a few with graphic violence. Again, if such things make you uncomfortable, simply do not read the marked logs. |
