New World
New World
By neodigidinotopian

Alone and confused,
With no where to go,
There is no one,
There is nothing,
To guide your way.

Silver light,
Bright in the dead of night,
A glistening gift from above,
Follow follow,
See where it guides you.

Walking through the woods,
Through pools and weeds,
Oblivious to anything else,
Step after step,
After your guide.

Over a bridge,
Too brilliantly bright,
Through a swirling light,
Too misty and unnatural,
But your eyes are only for your guide.

The bridge is gone,
You can't breathe at all,
Your guide has left,
There's no where to go,
You fall and fall.

Through the air,
Unto a land,
Far in the future,
Far far away,
You are lost once again.

Thumped into trees,
Scraped by thier branches,
Sliding into underbrush,
Spiky and dry,
Alone once again in the blasted woods.
