"Mom, Dad, we can't move. We just can't. This is our home," That's what I was saying before I moved to Earth.
By the way.... My name is Milli Saoshima. I lived in this planet Called The Lantern World. But since a war was going on, I had to move. But enough about me.
"Honey, it's going to be fun on Earth," Said my. He always tried to act Cheery, "Besides, Keiko and Linali are going too."
I started getting irritated. Then I started going off,"But what about Anh? Oh wait! She doesn't have to go. Why is that?! Oh I remember. Every single person in her family has powers so they don't have to move! Unfortunately, Keiko, Linali, and I don't have that luxury. We have to-"
My mom suddenly interupted me, "We're sorry if you feel this way, but wherever we go you go." (we hear this one a lot)
I can't believe I can't win an argument with my mom. Sad isn't it?
I skipped dinner and stayed in my room to take one last look at the Lantern World.
( The next day )
Keiko and Linali were already outside waiting.
"I know I'm perky all the time, but why can't Anh come?" asked Keiko.
"Anh's family is helping with the war, Keiko. She can't leave,'' said Linali. Anh's parents teleported us to our new "home" to make sure we got there safe. Keiko, Linali, and I shared the biggest room.
It only took us 5 minutes to un-pack. I guess having magic pays off. It took our parents forever to un-pack.I was sitting by the window when Linali and Keiko came in the room.
"Why don't we look around for a little bit?" asked Linali.
"Sure. There's no use staying here the whole day. Let's go explore Earth," I said as I stood up.
"Girls, be sure not to use your magic," said Mrs. Hakado, Linali's mother.
"Why?'' asked Keiko.
"People here are different. If you use magic, you might frighten someone."
"Okay, we were planning on walking anyway," I said.We headed off to the park. It was much bigger than the one at home.
"Look at all these people," said Keiko.
"Whoever knew Earth could be so populated," I said.
As we were walking, we suddenly spotted a little boy underneith a tree crying.
"Let's go see what's wrong with that little boy," I said.We went to check, then he suddenly looked up.
"Oh, hello my name's Tommy. I lost my brother's and their friend Mitsue."
"Why don't we keep you company until they find you,Tommy?" asked Linali.
"Okay."
"I'm Milli. This is Linali. And this is Keiko." After we introduced ourselves, we heard a voice.
"Tommy, Tommy where are you?"
"That's like Mitsue!," said Tommy excidedly," Mitsue, Over here!" Then a spiky- haired boy came running towards us.
"Tommy where have you been? Fi and Chace are still looking for you," He said.
"Sorry Mitsue. But Milli, Linali, and Keiko kept me company for a little bit," said Tommy.
"Thanks," said Mitsue.
"Any time" Then two more boys came running up to us. They were twins.
"There you are Tommy," said one of them.
"Hi Chace. This is Milli, Keiko, and Linali. Milli, this is my brother Chace and the other one is my brother Fi," said Tommy.
"How do you do?" said Chace holding out his hand.I shook his hand then I felt a huge power surge. I jerked back.
"What is it?" asked Chace.
"Milli, what's wrong?" asked Keiko.I didn't answer their question. I just said," Uh, I, I got to go."
I started running home with Keiko and Linali right behind me.
