She's Not Back there!
Starview Downs - Back Here definatly is at the back of the pack, infact she's right at the front. The little chestnut filly went on to win the $300,000 Haloween Derby this weekend, infront of Hagamos El Amor. New comer, Tolerancia, owned by Kat and boarded at Green Meadows, put in a suprising performance and finished 3rd, infront of Fatal Attraction and Starview Bliss. We can expect to see a lot from Back Here, and there's no doubt that she'll be entered into one of the Breeders Cup races. Back Here is possibly West Point Farm's best 3 year old, and possibly even their best horse. Back Here has wonderful bloodlines, her dam is sired by the sire of Real Quiet - who just about won the Triple Crown just a few years back!
Upset in the Fountain of Youth!
Starview Downs - It was a loss in what was sure to be an easy victory for Sun Dancer. The top two-year old filly suffered her worst place in a race so far, when she finished third behind I Wanna Know and Wind Beneath My Wings. Wind Beneath My Wings finished a sprising second, just a nose infront of Sun Dancer. Jockey Mike Smith, aboard Sun Dancer called for an objection against I Wanna Know, claiming interference in the backstretch, but it was not allowed. The race was very rough, going over a muddy track, with a lot of slipping and sliding. The race really could have been anybodies, but I Wanna Know pulled through for the victory. The distance between first and fifth place were a total of two lengths, very close, especially for these two year old fillies. Although, if we went on who displayed the most determination I'd say that went to Sun Dancer, she dug in til the very last inch!
The Memorial Wasn't Easy!
Starview Downs - With a field of 14 two year old colts, many things can happen, especially when it's over a muddy track. The rain was pouring down upon the colts as they made their way to post, and not everybody was on the top of their game.  The start of the race was possibly the herdest for these colts. On the outside rails, Posts 12 and 13, the horses, super Nova and Wonder's Pride were quite antsy, and upon comin out of the gate Super Nova swerved dangerously into wonder's Pride. Jockey Ashleigh Griffen, just barely clung onto the horse's damp neck, but managed to righten herself and carry on through the race. This is possibly the best ride I've ever seen of a rider, as Wonder's Pride, who was 23 lengths behind the leader at the time, Storm Too, made up 20 of those lengths to finish third in the
race, about a head behind stablemate French Passion, and 2 1/2 lengths behind Starview Beat The Rest, who being on the inside was able to miss all the friction of the start. Wonder's Pride and Ashleigh Griffen both deserve top honours for their effort, and this will definatly be up for the "Ride of The Year" award!
He Makes His Comeback
Starview Downs - it definatly wasn't a good day for Starview Beat The Rest to make his comeback to racing, and the race wasn't that easy on most of the horses. Lucky vetran jockey Pat Day wa able to get his mount close to the front of the pack before he could get tangled in the pack with all the sliding around. Even with him having possibly the nicest trip of anybody, his trainer says that he came back sore and with some heat in his legs. He'll have a few days of stall rest. We can just imagine how sore the rest of the horses must be in if a horse who had such an easy trip can back
sore.  Starview Beat The Rest went on to dominant his class some more and he won the Amigotcho Memorial, a race actually named for a horse who used to be in the stall next to his. Maybe he misses his buddy?
