Camera Adapter

When I first got my Meade LXD-500 mount, I got it without a telescope
 because I wasn't sure which scope I wanted but I knew I wanted a
German-Equatorial mount for astro-photography. So I made this adapter
to hook a camera right up to the mount instead of piggy-backing it off
a scope as many people do. When I finally bought my Meade 8"
Schmidt-Cassagrain I found out it was only about $100 more to get it
with a mount. So now I have 2 mounts. I use one for the telescope and
one for a camera. At a couple of star-parties I've used both at the same
time. Since the one only has a camera, and the weight bar with NO weights
on it, the 10 AA battery pack runs it all night. For the one with the
scope I run it with one of those Car jump starters that has the
cigarette lighter plug for 12 VDC power out.
