United Nations Watch is a non-profit organization based in
Geneva whose mandate is to monitor the performance of the
United Nations and its adherence to the UN Charter. To view our
latest articles, please click on 'What's New'.

"I deeply appreciate the valuable work
performed by UN Watch. I believe that
               informed and independent evaluation of
the United Nations' activities will prove
a vital resource as we seek to adapt the
Organization to the needs of a changing
world. I can promise you that I will pay
close attention to your observations and
               views in the years ahead."
"The United Nations is indispensable as
                                              the only multilateral, comprehensive
                                              body in an increasingly interdependent
                                              world. Though there are countless
                                              'watches' and groups that monitor
                                              institutions and global concerns (there
is even a 'Hillary Watch'), prior to the
formation of UN Watch there was
                                              literally no organization whose sole
purpose was to watch the United
                                              Nations."

LOOK! NO PARACHUTE What's shaped like a shuttlecock and should come down to
Earth at 50 kilometres per hour? A very unusual spacecraft. We take a look
at the new inflatable heat shield which could make parachutes a thing of the
past, save space and cut the cost of transporting cargoes into orbit.
