CHALLENGE  JACKET
This jacket was done as a Guild Challenge for our Gathering of the Guilds meeting April 2002.  We were given 2 pieces of fabric which had to be cut at least four times and combined with fabric and pattern of our choice to be revealled at the Gathering of the Guilds.
This jacket was done at our Quilt Guild Retreat in February 2000; in a class taught by Judy Morningstar, a fabric artist from Goodlands, MB.  It represents your life.  On the back I have myself with my sewing machine, bobbins, seam ripper and a jar with buttons form previous outfits and spools.  On the front is a folk art picture of my home and barn from my childhood life.  There is also a computer, an antique sewing machine done by embroidery and roses that are also machine embroidered.  I really had a lot of fun doing this jacket and have had lots of comments on it.
MEMORIES JACKET
This was a paper-pieced quilt that I did for my daugher-in-law and son (Lorelea & Shawn) as a shower gift.  It was a challenge to get it done as it took quite a few hours of paper piecing besides the quilting that was done on it.  I like the colours that I used and it showed off the stars really well.
