Mr. Divakara K. Udupa worked for Siemens Telecom Networks, ISR Global Telecom and IBM in the US in different capacities. He has a wide range of experience as a software developer, designer and architect spanning more than fifteen years. He is the founder of Quality Media.com Private Limited® (QMPL), a diverse global media company.
Before going to the US in 1980, he worked in Central Mine Planning Design Institute, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, as a Senior Design Engineer/SE.
He has written many technical articles and has one patent. He has written two successful and widely acclaimed books ― Network Management Systems Essentials and TMN: Telecommunications Management Network, both published by McGraw-Hill, US. These books are being used as textbooks in many universities around the world. Personal Computer (PC): What Is a PC, How to Buy and Use One is his third book.
Mr. Udupa has a B. Sc (Engg) in mechanical engineering from Banaras Hindu University, an M. E. in mechanical engineering from Calcutta University, and an M. S. in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA.
He is a member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
