Quake III

Ok, first let me tell you....if you are on a dial up modem this just simply WON'T WORK for you. I mean, yeah...ok...you technically CAN QUAKE but, you will freeze more than play. There is nothing more annoying than running around on a map and seeing someone "suspended" in mid air, not moving. More often than not, someone will call a vote to kick you from the server...and that's never any fun. Well, ok...it IS fun...for those of us on a cable, DSL, T1 or T3 connect it is. For the modem user, it sucks bigtime.  May I suggest to you to invest in a real connection before you start gaming online. Actually, if you have any INTEREST in gaming online, that is.

I myself, prefer playing the CTF (Capture The Flag) mod. The object of that mod is basically what it says it is. Two teams, one red....one blue. Both teams start out at their own base, and the object in this game is to make your way to the OTHER TEAMS base while fragging (killing), the other players. The maps are great and the weapons (in my opinion) are even greater. I cannot TELL YOU the absolute thrill I get whipping out my shotgun and shooting someone in their face at close range. For long range fragging, you'd wanna whip out your railgun. This weapon is the most difficult to master. Once you DO master it....it will fast become your FAVORITE weapon by far. You also are able to pick up a rocket launcher, grenade launcher, plasma gun, and the lightning gun. On certain maps, you can also obtain the BFG. Which, the better players try to avoid grabbing. This weapon is basically the most heavy duty of the weapons in terms of termination. As I said though, we try to avoid using/obtaining this one as it's much too easy to frag someone. Usually the "newbies" use it.....'cuz to be quite honest...they suck at the game and NEED IT to defeat the more honest (and better) players with it.

The other mod in this game (that is just as popular), is TDM. Basically, TDM is Team Deathmatch. I myself, just NEVER got into this type of play. Probably because the guy who I took to Hawaii and Amsterdam played CTF, and naturally it was the only mod I played also.  Team DM has friendly fire turned on, so it's very easy to frag one of your own teammates. The maps are much different from the CTF maps also.  Like I said...I've never really gotten INTO the Team DM mod. Located below is the button for the link to the game. Feel free to download the demo version of it and see which mod you prefer.  Learn more about Quake 3, and several other games which I tend to play. Quake 3 isn't the only game I play you know. I also play Warcraft IIIReturn to Castle WolfensteinSoldier of Fortune 2,  and  Alice. All of these hyperlinks will enable you to view screenshots of these games, view maps and mods, as well as allowing you to download demo versions of them.  The links button below will take you to gaming sites that I frequent daily to keep up on the latest news FOR these games. I will also provide chat programs utilized by cyberathletes, enabling us all to send gaming information to one another.  I am also providing a few (hard selection) screenshots of Quake 3. Hope your gaming experience is a happy one, as it is for me and my online gaming friends!
