My Rhoads Family

Hendreek Rhodt Sr (Henry Rhoads Sr) born 1686 in Rhodt, Germany or Rodez, France.
Part of the family de Rodez who fled fled with the Huguenots to the German Palatinate in the area about 25 miles west of Mannheim.
Origins of the family believed to be two brothers who went to England with William the Conqueror. Both were reqarded for their service Willemus stayed in England, Hugh returned to France and became Hugh I Count de Rodez. The town of Rodez, in Averon, Languedoc is 300 south of Paris.
Hendreek Sr came to the U.S. in 1737 and settle in Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
