Chocolate Nut Bread
with Chocolate Butter


A chocolate lovers delight!
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1-3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs. Mix well. Stir in milk. Mix dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Stir lightly (do not overmix). Spray baking loaf pans with cooking spray. You can also use a bundt pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Top with Chocolate Butter.

Chocolate Butter
1/2 cup butter
2 Tablespoons chocolate syrup
2 Tablespoons honey

Beat until fluffy. Serve with warm bread. You can also put into cake decorating tube and pipe onto slices of bread
