Victor The Goat

What is the one item you treasure? Mine is a goat plush I found at a thrift store. The really odd thing is that I don't know myself why I really like this goat. Anyway, I named the goat Victor after the goat from the TV show Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy. We've discovered that I've had him for some trips and not for other trips, so now I'm able to narrow the time I got him from June to October, 2003, because I did not have him for one trip, but I did for the other. So that would make it my Junior Year that I had him.

Victor serves several purposes for me. He's someone I look forward to coming home to. I like to have him nearby while I'm working or watching TV. In short, Victor is my silent guardian.

Someone once told me that they had a small farm, and they had a goat on their farm. They told me that there is a superstition that a goat will protect the other animals on the farm by warding off disease. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but because of that information, I apply the idea to Victor. Though I know this can't be true of him (since he's only a plush animal), I like to think of him as a healer - a cleric you may say. Therefore, if I ever made a story about him, the story would include the mysterious ability to heal others - anything and everything he could heal, he would.

As a matter of fact, I've started working on Victor's story, but since he is named after a goat from a cartoon show, I decided to nickname him "Adiel", which is the African word for "goat". I'll have to decide what country he is from (I was considering Scotland in the UK, but if his name is to be African, I'll pick somewhere in there that is mountainous). I'm probably going to make it into a comic book.

Because of him, I now like goats. It's funny, that makes 3 animals I like that are condemned in the Bible - Goats, Snakes, and Dragons. Oh well, I still think they are all cool.
