The Autobiography of QuadRaptor

Origins

Years ago computer/Batman specialist Richard C. put Quake and Hexen onto my computer. It changed my life forever! A few months later Richard returned to add Quake 2 to our computer. It made my life even better! After a year or two, I became an expert at Quake and Quake 2!

My first Quake name was Raptor. After seeing Jurassic Park, I was obsessed with the carnivore for a few years and used the name for a few months. I had discovered, however, that 3 or 4 other people used that name, referring to the jet. I changed my name to QuadRaptor then. Ever since, QuadRaptor was my main name.

Clans

The Trimmors (TT)

A friend of mine and I created a clan known as the Trimmors, which only lasted a few months then died out.

Angels of Death (AOD)

Another Quake friend recruited me into AOD-The Angels Of Death, which became the first greatest Quake clan I've ever been in. I recruited the leader, DoomHammer, and others like Mr.SuperStar and Postman. I had become the co-leader, but from a minor malfunction with my internet, I supposedly "killed" the clan. Don't ask me what happened. AOD has been one of the two clans that I have participated in the most, especially in a few clan wars, which we were good at. I don't remember if we won them all or not. This was probably my greatest achievement since I helped create the clan. I frequently attempted to contact the members, since I have their old e-mails, but they have failed to reply.

Guardians of the Heavens (GotH)

I later joined another clan, GotH-Guardians of the Heavens, which led to death as well. This one wasn't too bad, but it wasn't around for that long.

Cyborg Asskickers League (CaL)

I was in Cyborg Asskickers League for a day or two, and then they kicked me out because they said I sucked.

Hell Cats Record (Hcr)

I was in Hell Cats Record for a day, but then I decided that it wasn't in for me, especially since I never really made any contact with any of the other members besides the one who recruited me. I left it after a few days of no show.

HeeT

HeeT was another clan where I got kicked out of a few days after I joined.

Leutenant Lt.

I desperately searched over the Internet for a new clan. I tried to find one related to AOD, but it did not work. I later got GameSpy and found Laz Lair for Quake2. This is where I met Lt.Corvette, a new kick ass Quaker, and joined a clan known as Lt.! The only problem I had was I had been under my "unknown" name, STONEWALL, as in StoneWall Jackson, my favorite Confederate General. So from a long while and going, I continued to stay in Lt., under the name Lt.STONEWALL. I especially enjoyed the Laz's Lair server, because of a new kind of game called WoD, or Weapons of Destruction. My overall favorite weapon on the server is called the Laser Tripwire, where you place a beam of energy and if anyone touches it they are cut in half! I was great at placing them where people would be least able to avoid them, especially where ladders, elevators, and stairs are where they would be completely unaware. My favorite clan members are Lt.Corvette, Lt.Dangergirl, and Sgt.Death (Corvette's Dad). The clan's skin was the Subzero skin from Mortal Kombat, but beforehand, I used one of the Cyborg skins.

At the end of one summer, the gang went their seperate ways for school and so forth, so Quake 2 was hard to get on. Eventually, we stopped talking to each other, and two of the websites are gone. Corvette's site is still up, but it hasn't had much activity.

I still considered myself a Lt. member since, and I still do, but I've tried to make contact with my clan and all has failed. Lt. was, so far, my second greatest clan, AOD being the first. We had a total of two clan wars, both of which I participated in, and we won both of them.

East Side Extremists [eSx]

After a drought of no Quake activity for a long while, I returned to the game to discover that many of my favorite servers had shut down. I went on the Internet and looked up Artifact Quake servers, and discovered quake.widomaker.com, which I played on for a few months, making friends with a bunch of people like Icarus, Mr. Toyo2_, and ProPain. I got back into the Quake hype, but I wanted a little more servers. I went back to the Internet to search for servers, and eventually found kz.ihoc.net somewhere there. So I went to the server, and met Rocket-Man, but I didn't have the maps. I went to the website and downloaded the maps, but I took a look at a server list.

That's where I found quake.xoc.net:26666, which I highly enjoyed for the six bots that play there all the time. Eventually I tried to be like the bots by giving myself a new name, Biznatch, and copied their quotes. One time, I went back to kz.ihoc.net, where I met Sovs. Sovs is the admin to the server, so I became a regular there as well as xoc, primarily because of the bots.

June 8th, 2003, after much time to think, I went onto kz.ihoc.net, where Sovs and a friend of his from the clan were making a "demo", and once they were done, I asked Sovs about the clan.

I remember on June 8th that I accidently hit one of my binds that said "Let's Kick Some ASS!", and I apologized for it, but Sovs said it was a cool bind, so I hit the two keys for "Playtime's Over!", and "Let's Kick Some ASS!". I also use one after I die that says, "Mmmm....BEEFY" (When ProPain was on widomaker, he would frequently say, "God What A Mess!", in which I would reply, "Mmmm....BEEFY!". It was always funny.)

So I joined in a new clan, east SIDE extremists, and pretty much officially left Leutenant since I have had absolutely no clan activity. On July 19th, 2003, I encountered the most eSx members at one time on a server, on quake.ihoc.net. APOCALYPSE, S1Ni5taTEC, Static, AAA, and myself, along with two other players from two different IHOC clans, were on simultaniously. This was one of the greatest experiences I had, even though it was a free for all match. I remember Static saying, "Are we allowed to kill other clan members?". I had responded with, "Yes, because it is a death match." He had replied, "I meant about my friend AAA", and it was left at that.

eSx by far has to be my most active clan, mainly because of being at QuakeBoard where I check for new stuff going on every day (I wish at least AOD and Lt. had their own communities), so I am always involved in what's going on. One of the biggest events to happen in my eSx career occured on October 29th, 2003, where I was made the Vice President (3rd in command) of the clan. I spoke with SOVS on November 21st, 2003, where he told me what was going on and my responsibilities in the clan. Aside from being Co-leader of AoD (Lt. didn't have ranks since everyone was even [except Corvette and Sgt. Death had the highest honors since they made the clan]), this is one of the highest ranks I've been in a clan.

On the night of May 29th, 2004, I couldn't get to sleep, so I jumped on wsx.ihoc.net, where WickedWayz from clan wSx was on. He and I had a slight 1 on 1 where he was beginning to beat me when [eSx]Stress and [wSx]Rook came into the brawl. Soon after we had a 2 vs. 2 match, and it was really fun (except that I always had the least amount of frags). For eSx in our games, Stress did all the fragging and hell-raising, even if shooting me frequently. As for me, I basically didn't frag much at all but was a good decoy for Stress to get some frags using (and I was playing deaf because my brother is sleeping and I couldn't turn up the volume). For wSx, WickedWayz and Rook fragged pretty much equal, but Rook had ping problems and had to quit every now-and-then, but then would come back and all hell broke loose afterwards. WickedWayz mostly contended against Stress (and fragged me frequently), scoring high for wSx. This had been one of the greatest games I have ever played in, since at the time the IHOC servers had been decreasing in activity

Some time ago eSx joined in on another site, TLTQ (The Last True Quakers). We've had a lot of interesting things happen there, but then TLTQ switched over to Singed. I won't go in depth in what happened, but Singed is much cooler than TLTQ!

On March 28th, 2006, Apocalypse, the co-leader of eSx, decided to quit and start a new clan called SNS (Since Ninty Six). I decided to quit eSx as well, since SOVS and many other members of eSx have not been active.

Totally Useless _TU

March 29th, 2006, I asked D'Rouen if I could join Totally Useless. She immediately said "YES!!", and I became a member of yet another clan.

I joined TU because many of my friends - D', Nikola, Digifunk, GameFreak, Fuzznut, Monster, ect.... - were members, so I was sure I would fit in well.

Future Vs. Fantasy

While kicking ass with eSx, I frequently went onto fvf.servequake.com . This was by far one of the coolest ideas for a Quake server - called Future Vs. Fantasy.

Future Vs. Fantasy was basically like a role-playing game. You had classes, weapons, and monsters to kill, well in Quest Mode anyway. There were counteroperative versions of the game as well, called Purge and Deathmatch Modes, but Quest was always the greatest.

In Quest Mode, my favorite class is the Cyborg Camper (for obvious reasons - QuadRaptor), but I also like to play Ninja, Mage, Laser Android, and when we have enough people on, Cleric.

Life Away From Quake

I have a variety of things I enjoy doing besides Quake. Most of the time I join in anime-related RPGs and Chats, but when I have nothing else to do (or nothing I want to do), Quake is my answer. A few of my hobbies include collecting and playing trading card games, playing PS2 and GBA games, and a few other things.
