| Air Filter- This was the first mod I made to my 300EX, and it was probably one of the best. A good, high quality, foam air filter is a must for anyone who wants to get more performance out of their machine. Installation is a snap, just oil and bolt on. Once I put my Uni on, I took off my airbox lid and increased the jet size by one step. I took it out in the yard to let it warm up, and then I hit the gas. WOAH! There was definitely a power increase, and the throttle response seemed to have increased by 5 fold! There was also a different sound when you rode. Since the air box lid was off, you could hear more of the engine through the intake, which was way cool. The sound wasn't overly loud, just enough for you to feel like you were riding more of a beast than before. I would highly recommend this filter to anyone who either needs a replacement filter, or wants a cheap performance upgrade. |
