Ever since you entered Kindergarten and began building sand castles and playing with pattern blocks your teachers have been exposing you to different styles of learning. It is known that while some people can look at something and understand its meaning, other people need a visual to see how the answer was produced. Similarly, there are multiple ways that people learn because everyone learns differently. Some of the different ways that people learn include the following; Linguistic, Logical/Mathematical, Spatial, Musical, Bodily/Kinesthetic, Naturalist, Intrapersonal,  and Interpersonal Learners.  A Linguistic learner relates well to speech, reading, and writing. A Logical/Mathematical learner works well with numbers and patterns and enjoys math and logic, imagine that!  Someone who is a Spatial learner learns best with pictures and visualizing.  A musical learner learns best through music, melody, and rhythm. If you are a Bodily/Kinesthetic learner, then you learn best through more of a "hands on" approach. Interacting and moving around helps you to do this. For the interpersonal learner, working with others is best.  Doing things in groups and having discussions helps them to further understand the material.  Last of all is the Intrapersonal learner. These people enjoy working alone and learn best while doing so.

WEAKEST INTELLIGENCES:
My weakest learning style is Musical Learning.  I have never had an ear for rhythm or music and I have never been able to carry a tune.  However, according to the Multiple Intelligence Inventory Test, if you enjoy music and can easily memorize song lyrics, than you obtain some Musical learning abilities.  Since I do enjoy music and I can memorize easily, I receive a shocking ten points.  Amongst some of my other weaker learning styles, I scored low in Naturalistic.  Although i enjoy spending time outdoors I have never been one who has been preoccupied with recyling or preserving National Parks.
DOMINANT INTELLIGENCES:
    I am a Logical/ Mathematical learner. I work best with numbers, figures, problem solving, and understanding patterns (both concrete and abstract). Solving problems comes easy to me and i can easily complete calculations in my head. As well as other traits that Logical learners have I am well organized and punctual and I get frustrated with others who are not. As well as being organized I like things to be structured, everything from my scholwork to my plans for the weekend. Another learning style i found was one of my strengths was the Interpersonal learner. This includes working with people, being socially involved, being a team player, exc.  When i overviewed the different styles of learning both of these styles I saw myself learning best at. However, I am not soley a Mathematical or Interpersonal learner. For example, although I like extracurricular activities and social activities with other people, I work best and learn the most when i work alone.  When I have work to do I like to go over it alone so I can work at my? own pace. Sometimes when I work in groups I feel that I am not as productive.
THIS YEAR IN CHEMISTRY
     Chemistry is a subject that I have never before studied.  It is a very "hands on" class.  You have to be attentive, observant, precise, accurate, and you have to be able to view things from all angles.  The benefit of this is that the previous traits require skills from all different learning styles. Most people have a few ways in which they learn best.  This will be useful in Chemistry because, since we all have different talents, we will be able to collaborate and work together. Something that one person might not understand or notice, their lab partner or classmate might.  Through this we will be able to use our skills singly and combined to be most successful. I am a Logical learner and believe that I will do well with studying patterns and data, and drawing conclusions. I also have a mix of Inter and Intrapersonal learning which will be beneficial for this class.  Since I have the capability to work both alone and with others, whatever the situation desires I can be successful.
