QSP 2008-2009 NHL PLAYOFF HOCKEY POOL

 

Rules

 

1.     Pick one (1) player from each of the fifteen (15) player groups, plus two (2) goalies from the goalie group, to form their Playoff Player Team.  Please see attached Excel spreadsheet to make your picks.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the players you choose are not on the disabled list.

 

1.     You will be awarded 1 point for each player’s goal or assist and 2 points for each goalie win or 5 points for a goalie shutout win.

 

2.     The person who accumulates the most points at the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs will be considered the pool winner.

 

3.     Your picks must be submitted no later than 4 pm on Wed. April 15, 2009 to the following address:  [email protected] (this email link & the one on the front page works only if you have set up an email account within your web browser).  In the subject line of the email, please type in “Hockey Playoff Picks”.

 

4.     The entry into this Pool is $1.00 per entry – C’mon who can’t afford a loonie?!?!   MULTIPLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED (Maximum of 3 entries per person)

 

5.     In the instance of a tie at the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, please refer to the “Tie Breakers” section below.

 

Prizes - Winner Takes All!!

- your name will be engraved on “The Stanley” (as long as you  are a current QSP employee at the end of the pool).

- 100% of the total prize money.

 

Tie Breakers

 

If there are participants tied at any point during the pool the following shall be considered the order to break the tie:

 

1.     Total number of player points (not including goalie points)

2.     Total number of goals scored

3.     Total number of goalie shutout points

4.     Correctly picking the Eastern and Western Champions

5.     Correctly picking the Stanley Cup Champion

6.     Correctly picking the Stanley Cup Champion and the number of games
