The Q student council, the student leadership team and Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief (CPAR) will be organizing a very important fundraiser this term, and we need your help! Children (especially girls) in rural parts of African countries, such as Uganda, have to walk to wells miles and miles away from their homes to get water for their families. As a result, they miss a lot of school. The water in places like this (third world countries) can be very dirty so people who drink it can get sick. As water is a necessity and there is a lack of funds, there isn’t much families in this situation can do. That’s where we come in, and what needs to be done is really simple. Our whole school will be asked to participate in this fundraiser to help build a well. This is a great way to help less fortunate families, and starting next Monday (March 27th) all your donations will be accepted.
