The Feasibility Study Guidelines for public-school seismic mitigation projects have been posted to the ministry's Capital Planning website:

The Vancouver School Board invites all parents and staff to an information evening to learn about seismic preparedness in schools. The district has a new seismic priority ranking list for upgrading. Come and learn about our district plans. There will be a question period, and trustees and staff will be available to discuss specific issues related to schools.

Shake it all around!

Friday May 14, 2004 there was a fun event to raise awareness of the school seismic issues. Mayor Larry
Campbell and Families gathered for School Seismic Safety in celebrating 'People Power'.

Vancouver teachers, students and parents were invited to take time out to attend. Students at Gladstone Secondary School
have written a short seismic satire 'It Can't Happen Here', full of music, rap and masks. There were lots of other fun shakin'
events to draw attention to the urgent need for school seismic safety upgrading.
