FROM VARIOUS PAC VOLUNTEER COMMITTEES
PAC International Dinner
A volunteer is needed to co-ordinate QPAC's annual International Dinner in April.
There is a list of PAC volunteers for the International Dinner that the co-ordinator can begin working with.
The PAC family International Dinner is a wonderful activity for Q students and co-ordinating this event is a very worthwhile way to help enhance your child's school experience. The annual International Dinner contributes to our student's important sense of school spirit and community.
The International Dinner is a result of a student's suggestion based on a similar event at another school.
The International Dinner is a potluck dinner.
Families bring a contribution to the dinner - a salad, main dish or dessert and indicate the ingredients for food allergies. Families are asked to put their name on their container and serving utensils in case they forget to take tham home at the end of the evening.
Families can bring their own plates and cutlery. Also, disposable ones are provided. Soft drinks and juices are sold.
Each class puts together a basket for a raffle to raise money for their class. Ask your child what his or her class' basket theme is.
Your child is to bring an item to contribute to this theme basket which will then be wrapped and displayed in the library one week before the dinner. Donations of large baskets are welcome and can be left at the office.
During the week leading up to the dinner while the baskets are on display in the library, raffle tickets can be purchased. Raffle tickets are also sold the evening of the dinner. The draw is held at the dinner so the baskets can be taken home.
Please
consider volunteering. If you are interested contact the current
