| KA wins 6-0! A case for foreign talent? | ||||||||
| 22 Sept, 2002 - Kallang Alternative came away with an emphatic 6-0 win in its most recent match. However, the only goal scored by KA player came in the final moments from the boot of KA captain Loon. The club's lack of depth was clearly exposed as the KAKAs were forced to use 5 foreign and unregistered players. With the aid of these players, the team ended a recent barren run of a couple of games without a win. The performance will no doubt put the Alternatives' strict player policy under the spotlight. The likelihood of more departure of players on loan overseas will put Team KA's reliance on only local players under immense pressure. In the light of the positive contributions of the foreign talent, one wonders whether time has caught on with the KAKAs' system of calling up players from within its own ranks. |
