New Gymnasium Construction!

The new gym is slated to be ready for the 2000-2001 school year. Integrated facilities will include: a stage, a larger (almost regulation sized) basketball court area, a weight room, a wrestling room, boys' and girls' locker rooms, inside restrooms, and food services (cafeteria).

In this photograph, you can see the flat open space after the demolition of the old locker room facilities. Sept '99 In this shot, the foundation for the walkway wall is being set. Early October '99. Here construction has begun on the wall itself and walkway up to the gym from the lower campus. Late October '99. The steel structure outlining the gym is almost complete. Late November '99. Here the entire structure can clearly be seen. Late November '99.

In this picture, the cement flooring has been poured, the basic roof is on, and the framing of the walls is beginning. January 2000. Here you can see the new planters being framed in the foreground. Most of the framing of the walls is done. February 2000.
