El autor pinta el trasfondo litúrgico de los salmos al tratar el salterio como colección de textos litúrgicos; los ritos, las fórmulas y el lenguaje litúrgico que se encuentran en los salmos; el vocabulario hebreo que remite a un contexto litúrgico de los mismos; el carácter dramático-litúrgico de las varias voces o diversos papeles que se desempeñan en varios salmos; los gestos de índole litúrgico, y también trata de las indicaciones en los mismos salmos que los sitúan en la liturgia de Israel.
Abstract
The author treats the question of the Psalter as a collection of liturgical texts; the liturgical rites, formulae and language of the Psalms; the Hebrew vocabulary which points to their liturgical character and context; the dramatic interplay of distinct voices or actors in various Psalm texts; the liturgical gestures, and finally notes the indications in the Psalms which situate them in the liturgy of Israel.
