Want to get involved in shows but don't even know what a pose is? Have a cat that won't pose? Want to learn how to make a better pose? You've come to the right place! Below is pictured a VERY good show pose of one of my favorite cats, Piano. Her show name is QoH's Mo' Dance Time. Click on a part of her pose to see what is good or bad about it, and for examples of common mistakes and things to avoid. If you have questions, please submit to the FAQ by submitting them to me. I'll do my best to answer!

Q:My catz absolutely will NOT pose with no eyelid showing. How do you get your catz to pose so well?

A: Honestly, it takes a lot of time and patience. While its true that some cats, those usually with a strict Siamese or Alley Cat personality, will not pose at all, most cats just need a lot of practice. You also have to be quick with the camera, so I suggest using the spacebar radpidly instead of the picture button. As for getting no eyelids to show, usualy that comes after a cat has been trained to show pose. If you bring it out, get it to face one side, and then start snapping pictures out of nowere (to the cat), there will often be a surprised look on its face when it poses. This leads to open eyes. With other cats that don't act surprised much, Persians for example, it just takes plain luck. 1
